NLC urges National Assembly to transform NNPC to public liability company

The Nigeria Labour Congress has cautioned the National Assembly to handle with utmost care what it described as the very sensitive issue of the unbundling of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation. It urged the lawmakers to transform the NNPC to a public liability company as part of the reforms of the oil and gas sector captured in the Petroleum Industry Bill. NNPC to partner Borno government to establish gas power plant

The Group Managing Director, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Alhaji Mele Kyari has said that the corporation will partner with Borno State Government to establish a Gas Power Plant following the vandalization of the national grid by insurgents which put the state almost three months into total blackout. A political pressure group in Edo state, Masses Eye, has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to apologise to one of the party’s chieftains, Chris Ogiemwonyi, for making a mockery of him during the party’s pre-primary election screening exercise. ExxonMobil presents ambulances, other items to support coronavirus response
