The PDP Chairman in Lagos, Adedeji Doherty, expressed this optimism in an interview with newsmen. Dr Godwin Maduka, a major contender for the gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Nov. 6 election in Anambra has urged party delegates to shun financial inducement. Maduka, America-based medical practitioner-cum politician, made the call while addressing journalists on Sunday in Awka on the need for party delegates to cast their votes without fear or coercion. Ebonyi governor sacks over 1,000 board members, aides

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has dissolved all boards and commissions in the state with immediate effect. He announced this during his 2021 anniversary day address to the people of the state. Also sacked are management Committee members, liaison officers and local government advisory committee at all the 64 local government areas and 171 wards in the state. Also affected by the sack are all the Executive Assistants, Technical Assistants and Senior Technical Assistants to the governor. Put together, those sacked are over 1000. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will suffer if he leaves for another party. Wike made the assertion on Monday while briefing newsmen in Government House, Port Harcourt, the state’s capital. The property located at 142(a) along Muritala Mohammed Highway in Calabar which housed the People’s Democratic Party Secretariat in Cross River was on Saturday morning painted into All Progressive Congress, APC, Colours . Vanguard gathered that the building popularly known as the PDP Secretariat was condoned off by heavily armed security operatives while the workers continued their painting of the building.
