Bette Midler Says Trump Will ‘Burn the White House Down’ Before Leaving Office

Ahead of the riot, Trump told a crowd of his supporters, who believe his claims that the election was stolen — since debunked by elections officials as well as the Justice Department — that he was going to walk down to the Capitol with them. He added, “You’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong.” He defended his speech as “totally appropriate” Jan. 12. Midler — an outspoken critic of the president — also wants others whom she believes helped fuel the riots held accountable, namely Rudy Giuliani, Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, and Donald Trump Jr. “Let’s discuss bringing charges against the incendiary traitors who spoke BEFORE #Trump on January 6,” she wrote. Karl R...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Wants To Impeachment Keep Foot On Donald Trump’s Neck

Source: Drew Angerer / Getty While it will be just over a week before President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn into office, the political horizon in Washington looks like scorched land. After the horrific act of domestic terrorism at the U.S. Capitol building, GOP leadership warns that the Democrats’ desire to impeach Donald Trump a second time is bad business but AOC isn’t having that. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was a guest on ABC’s This Week program just days after the so-called insurrection at the Capitol building on Jan. 6. AOC, as she’s often called in the media, has earned a reputation as a tough-talking congresswoman while staying true to her strong political convictions. In a letter addressed to President-elect Biden supported by some of the...

Donald Trump’s iPhone Is A Brick After Broad Social Media Ban, Right-Wing Cesspool Parler Shut Down

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Donald Trump has been effectively silenced. After years of gaslighting and racism, the final straw was Donald Trump inciting a coup on the U.S. Capitol for social media companies to say enough is enough. Following the failed act of insurrection, Twitter first suspended Trump’s Twitter account for 12 hours and removed Tweets, including a video in which he continued to push the lie that the election was stolen from him. Mark Zuckerberg took things even further, announcing that Facebook and Instagram banned the liar-in-chief indefinitely. Subsequently, following an open letter from our forever First Lady Michelle Obama calling for all social media companies to take action and give Trump the boot from their services, Jack and his company did it and permanently banned T...

Uganda election: Will Bobi Wine derail Yoweri Museveni’s sixth term bid?

As millions of Ugandans prepare to pick the country’s president this week, the stakes could not be higher. The run-up to Thursday’s vote has been marred by restrictions on campaigning, arrests of opposition figures and deadly violence. At least 54 people were killed in November as security forces put down protests by opposition supporters. Longtime President Yoweri Museveni, 76, is facing a strong challenge from popular musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine in his bid to secure a sixth, five-year term in office. Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, was just four years old when Museveni, a former rebel leader, came to power in 1986. In 2005, Uganda’s ruling-party-dominated parliament removed presidential term limits. And in 2017, lawmakers scrapped the age limit of 75 fo...

Iced Earth Condemn Capitol Assault by Trump Supporters: ‘We Hope That All Those Involved That Day Are Brought to Justice’

A widely-distributed photo was posted on the D.C. Metropolitan Police site under “Persons of Interest in Unrest-Related Offenses.” In the image, a person resembling Schaffer can be seen pointing angrily at a camera with his index finger extended as he and dozens of others invade the Capitol building. The outspoken co-founder of the Tampa, Florida metal band has been identified by numerous outlets by his signature grey beard, left wrist tattoos that include “1776” and an American flag, as well as an Oath Keepers baseball hat from the group the Southern Poverty Law Center has described as a far-right anti-government militia organization. “We absolutely DO NOT condone nor do we support riots or the acts of violence that the rioters were involved in on J...

PDP hails court verdict on Governor Obaseki’s case as triumph of justice

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday described as a triumph of justice, the Federal High Court, Abuja, ruling on the alleged certificate forgery case against the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki. The court had on Saturday morning dismissed the case filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the governor for lack of merit. Justice Ahmed Mohammed, who delivered judgment in the case, said APC could not prove its claim that Obaseki forged his academic certificates submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the September 19, 2019 governorship election in the state. In its reaction to the ruling, the party in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the judgment was a seal on Obaseki’s landslide victory in...

Edo APC to appeal Abuja high court judgement

The chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Col David Imuse (rtd), has said that the party would appeal Saturday’s judgement by the Federal High Court, Abuja, which dismissed the alleged certificate forgery suit filed against Governor Godwin Obaseki by the party. The presiding judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed, had on Saturday dismissed the suit filed by the APC and a chieftain of the party, Williams Edobor, on the conclusion that the plaintiffs failed to prove their allegations of forgery against Governor Obaseki as it is expected in every criminal matter. “Allegation of forgery borders on crime which must be proved beyond reasonable doubt. In the instant case, no iota of evidence talk-less of a proof beyond reasonable doubt was bro...

Ex-Governor Ngilari: PDP is dead, will be buried in 2023

Former Adamawa Governor Bala James Ngilari, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no future in Nigeria because it is a dying party. Ngilari said this at the state All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting on Saturday in Yola. The former governor who defected to APC in 2020, was the PDP’s Adamawa North Senatorial Candidate at the 2019 general election. ” One of the reasons why I dumped PDP for APC is that PDP is a dying party. In fact, PDP is dead and it will be buried in 2023. ” Secondly, I don’t see PDP as an alternative for the future of Nigeria, because the contradictions in the party will make its members go to the graveyard and we will help them bury themselves. ” And the reason why I identified myself with APC is because of its laudable objectives that will take us t...

Xena’s Lucy Lawless Slays Hercules’ Kevin Sorbo for Spreading Misinformation About Capitol Riots

It’s been decades since Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess last had a crossover, but the lead stars of both ’90s shows changed that on social media last night. When Kevin Sorbo, who played the muscular Greek hero, claimed left-wing agitators caused the Capitol insurrection on January 6th, Lucy Lawless herself came to the rescue to obliterate him and stop the spread of misinformation. The digital battle started when Rogan O’Handley, an attorney and Donald Trump supporter, shared a picture of known QAnon and far-right extremists inside the Captiol hallway and suggested they were actually violent Democrats. “Do these look like Trump supporters? Or Leftist agitators disguised as Trump supporters…” he tweeted. Sorbo, who is a Trump supporter himself, amplified that cons...
