Cole for their new collaboration “Poke It Out,” a throwback single sharing the same sample as Q-Tip’s effervescent 1999 hit “Vivrant Thing.” After a brief falling out in late 2016, the dynamic duo officially made amends on Wale’s boastful 2018 track “My Boy (Freestyle),” and the new track finds the longtime collaborators fully unburdened from any past animosity and simply have a good time. Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant opened in Detroit on Wednesday, and a familiar face manned the takeout window: Slim Shady himself. With a sweater clean of vomit, the rapper worked the walk-up window at the alley-set eatery when it first began serving customers on September 29th. As Complex reports, Em served the first 10 customers their takeout containers of spaghetti and meatballs (with a vegan option available!), snapping pictures with fans at the counter. According to the Detroit Free Press, the line for the opening day celebration stretched for blocks around Detroit’s Foxtown neighborhood. Some were camping out since the early morning awaiting the 5:00 p.m. opening. While they waited, they were treated to a rendition of “Lose Yourself” (the lyrics of which inspired the restaur...

Fugees Perform “Ready or Not” at First Concert in 15 Years: Watch

Earlier this week, Fugees reunited at New York City’s Pier 17 for their first performance in 15 years. A portion of the concert was filmed for broadcast on Saturday night as part of the Global Citizen Festival. Below, watch their performance of “Ready or Not.” All told, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel performed a seven song set pulling exclusively from their classic album The Score. Though they took the stage nearly four hours late, “in the air there was a genuine sense of rebirth that has been present in very few reunion tours — as if they had, in these 25 years, figured out exactly how to fit in the narrow space between nostalgia and modernity,” wrote Valerie Megan in her review of the concert for Consequence. “It was a glorious victory lap, underlined by the nipping breeze...
