As seen in a fan-captured video, midway through the group’s closing song “Killing in the Name,” the iconic guitarist was accidentally knocked over by a security guard sprinting toward an unruly fan who snuck onto the stage. Just months after releasing Unlimited Love, their first record with Frusciante in 16 years, the band has announced its follow-up. Entitled Return of the Dream Canteen and produced by Rick Rubin, it’s due to arrive on October 14th via Warner. Rage Against the Machine narrowly avoided another broken leg after an audience member rushed the stage, knocking over guitarist Tom Morello in the process. The incident occurred during the band’s closing performance of “Killing in the Name” in Toronto on Saturday night. As you can see via the fan-captured footage embedded below, a man ran on from the side of a stage. A security guard sprang into action, but inadvertently tackled Morello. News of the concert’s cancelation prompted the crowd to go into a full-blown meltdown, with audience members throwing beer cans at the stage. U2 will open the all-new MSG Sphere in Las Vegas in 2023, marking the band’s first confirmed live performances in four years. Billboard reports that U2 will play several concerts at the venue over the course of the year. The dates are said to be non-consecutive and spread out over several months. Specific dates and ticketing information have not yet been revealed. The MSG Sphere is a 20,000-seat performance venue housed near The Venetian on the Vegas strip.
