Motionless in White Scores Third Top Hard Rock Albums No. 1
Motionless in White snags its third No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Hard Rock Albums chart with Scoring the End of the World, which bows atop the June 25-dated survey. World starts with 30,000 equivalent album units earned in the June 10-16 tracking week, according to Luminate, with 23,000 from album sales. The band, which formed in Scranton, Pa., in 2005, first ruled Top Hard Rock Albums with 2014’s Reincarnate, followed by 2017’s Graveyard Shift. In between the latter and World, Disguise peaked at No. 2 in 2019. World also debuts at No. 2 on Top Rock Albums, marking Motionless in White’s second-highest rank after Reincarnate, which led the list. Noah Weiland, the son of late Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland, has released his debut solo EP, titled Last Kiss Before Detox. The three-song effort includes his recent single, “One Day,” along with two new tracks. The last couple of years have been tumultuous for Noah, who was kicked out of the now-defunct band Suspect208, which also featured Slash’s son London Hudson on drums and Robert Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo on bass. The other members of the group cited Noah’s “dark path of drug use” as the reason for his ouster. Johnny Depp Going on European Tour With Hollywood Vampires
Fresh off his headline-making defamation trial, Johnny Depp will be joining his Hollywood Vampires bandmates on a tour of Europe. The band announced the six-date run, which kicks off almost exactly one year from now, on Wednesday (June 22). “The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We’re coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023! Tickets go on sale Monday 27 June at 11:00am CET. Keep an eye out for more to come…,” the group captioned the post on social media. Whether you like Johnny Depp or long to drive a stake through his heart, you’re probably going to be seeing a lot more of him following his legal victory in a defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. In the latest example, Depp is resurrecting The Hollywood Vampires, his supergroup with Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, for a short 2023 European tour. The band was last active in 2019 when they released their sophomore album, Rise. Now, as the group wrote in an Instagram post, “The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!” The six-date trek includes five stops in Germany and one in Luxembourg, all between June 20th and 30th of next year.
