Bauhaus Announce First US Tour in 16 Years

Goth rock purveyors Bauhaus have announced dates for their first US tour in 16 years. In May, following an appearance at Pasadena’s Cruel World Fest, the band will play headlining shows in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, and Tempe. They’re also set to play two shows at New York’s Kings Theatre in September. Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins, and David J first reunited in late 2019, playing a trio of shows in Los Angeles. Yungblud Cancels Russian Shows, Stands With Ukraine: ‘My Heart Is With You’

Yungblud is the latest music act to cancel concerts scheduled to take place in Russia after the country’s full-fledged attack on Ukraine last week. “I’m heartbroken to announce I will be cancelling my Russian shows scheduled for this summer,” the “Strawberry Lipstick” rocker shared via Twitter on Monday (Feb. 28). “Heartbroken because I know the vicious and brutal acts of the Russian regime in Ukraine over the past week do not reflect the attitudes and ideals of the beautiful people who I have met in Russia in the past!” Yungblud added a message to the Ukrainian people, writing, “My heart is with you – you’ve already shown such strength and determination, resisting this needless invasion. Green Day canceled an upcoming stadium concert in Moscow following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the band announced on Sunday (Feb. 27). “With heavy hearts, in light of current events we feel it is necessary to cancel our upcoming show in Moscow at Spartak Stadium,” explained Green Day via an Instagram Story. “We are aware that this moment is not about stadium rock shows, it’s much bigger than that. But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we feel confident there will be a time and a place for us to return in the future. Refunds available at the point of purchase. John Mayer can certainly attest to this, as he has tested positive for COVID less than two months after pulling out of a Dead & Company festival appearance due to a positive test. “Whelp. More members of the band tested positive for Covid today, and I was one of them,” Mayer wrote in a statement posted on social media. “This means we have to reschedule the next four shows, which we’ve already rescheduled and posted above. Roxy Music are reissuing their first two albums, Roxy Music and For Your Pleasure, on vinyl. These new pressings are due out on April 1st via Virgin/UMe. Originally released in 1972 and 1973, respectively, Roxy Music and For Your Pleasure are the band’s only albums to include Brian Eno, who rounded out the group of Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson. Roxy Music peaked at No. 10 on the UK Albums Chart, while its follow up reached No. 4. Don’t let Kanye hear this one. Maynard James Keenan stopped a Tool performance in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night (February 22nd) to ensure medics could attend to a fan in distress. According to Rock Feed, fans alerted the singer to a member of the front row who appeared to be having a medical emergency, prompting Keenan to stop performing and ask the audience to make way for medics to reach the fan.
