The furry feline cover star of Best Coast‘s 2010 debut Crazy For You, the beloved Snacks, who was the cat owned by band member Bethany Cosentino, has died. The ginger Snacks also graced the cover of Wavves’ King Of The Beach, and was most recently featured on the cover art for Best Coast’s newest single “Leading.” “I always knew this day would come, but I hoped it never would. I said goodbye to my angel baby Snacks this afternoon,” Cosentino wrote on Instagram. “He was not just my cat. He belonged to all of you. He was the third member of this band. Our mascot. NTDC explores Lagos creative communities on Google Arts & Culture
The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) has concluded plans to explore Lagos creative communities on Google Arts & Culture in five different ways. The project tagged; ‘Eko for Show’, is in partnership with Google Arts & Culture towards celebrating Lagos and its creative communities. The Director-General of NTDC, Mr Folorunsho Coker, who made the revelation in an interaction with the media, said that Lagos is one of Africa’s fastest-growing cities and that its creative scene is taking the world by storm. Coker noted that with over 25 million people, the city’s creative scene is fueled by a young generation of talented individuals and communities spanning music, art, photography, fashion, theatre, literature and food. Beirut seeks Christmas cheer after devastating year
Near the wreckage of Beirut’s port, a charity is bringing Christmas cheer to a city hammered by a devastating explosion, rising coronavirus infections and the worst economic crisis since Lebanon’s 1975-1990 civil war.
