Nike has officially announced its newest class of student-athletes to join its basketball family. Amongst the group of five athletes is Bronny James, eldest son of NBA icon LeBron James. Bronny, who just turned 18 over the weekend, is a senior at Sierra Canyon High School and has finalized an NIL endorsement deal with Nike. His father, LeBron signed a lifetime deal with Nike in 2015 and recently opened The LeBron James Innovation Center at the Oregon headquarters. Draymond Green will be taking a leave of absence from the Golden State Warriors following his altercation with Jordan Poole during practice last week. The decision for Green to take a step back was “mutual,” according to coach Steve Kerr, who also confirmed that they currently do not have a set date for the power forward’s return — possibly meaning that he will miss the Warriors’ opening game on October 18. 18-year-old NBA prospect Victor Wembanyama has players on high alert and fans in awe after two consecutive monster performances against the G-League Ignite. Standing 7’3 without shoes, Wembanyama is the same height as Boban Marjanovic and Kristaps Porzingis who are the two tallest players currently set to appear this upcoming season. Wembanyama, who currently plays for the French professional basketball club Metropolitan 92, averaged a  stat line of 36.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks in the two games, showing his prowess on both ends of the floor. The Golden State Warriors will be internally dealing with any possible disciplinary actions against Draymond Green and Jordan Poole after the two got into a heated altercation during practice earlier this week. The team’s general manager Bob Myers revealed that Green had already personally apologized to the franchise and will most likely not miss any games as a consequence.
