Undercover Police Arrest 8, Seize Stockpile of Drugs at Summer Camp Music Festival
Eight people have been arrested following the 2021 edition of Summer Camp Music Festival, which took place last month in Chillicothe, Illinois. Police seized a cache of drugs while working undercover at Three Sisters Park on August 20th and 21st, 25 News reports. Officials confiscated 124 grams of ecstasy, 1,061 doses of LSD, 47 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 27 grams of ketamine, and 33 grams of cocaine. $8,258 of suspected drug money was also found. Of the eight arrested, six face Class X felonies, the most serious felony offense in Illinois short of first-degree murder. If found guilty, they face a minimum sentence of six to 30 years in prison and will not be eligible for probation. Man Found Dead In His Own Truck Bed At Summer Camp Music Festival
While making security rounds at Three Sisters Park, the home of the 2021 edition of Summer Camp Music Festival, authorities discovered a man lying unresponsive in the truck bed of his own vehicle. According to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, Jonathan M. Goetz, 38, of nearby Germantown Hills, Illinois was pronounced dead at the scene on the festival’s final day, August 22nd. No foul play is suspected at this time, the coroner’s report says, due to no obvious signs of trauma found on the victim. Officials are currently awaiting the results of a pending autopsy report, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday morning.
