Mark Zuckerberg — CEO of Meta — has just announced that its paid verification program has just launched in Instagram and Facebook in the US. “You can get a badge, proactive impersonation protection and direct access to customer support," he stated on Friday in the Meta Channel on Instagram. The initiative arrives after Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed its plans to charge $8 USD a month for its users to get verified on Twitter.The subscription service costs a monthly fee of costs $11.99 per month on the web and $14.99 per month on mobile and was initially rolled out in Australia and New Zealand and granted users the blue check mark adjacent to their handles and names.
