Judas Priest Unveil Rescheduled 2022 North American Tour Dates
Judas Priest have rescheduled their 2022 “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American tour. Queensrÿche have replaced Sabaton as the support act for the new dates. Judas Priest were forced to postpone the remainder of their fall tour when guitarist Richie Faulkner nearly died after suffering a major heart emergency during the band’s set at the Louder Than Life fest in September. Faulkner’s aorta ruptured onstage during the band’s last song, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent a 10-hour life-saving surgery. Faulkner is now headed toward recovery and Judas Priest appear ready to return to the road in 2022. Laura Jane Grace Announces Headlining Canadian Tour
Not long after releasing her surprise EP, At War with the Silverfish, Laura Jane Grace has mapped out a tour across Canada. The Against Me! vocalist has announced a string of dates up north in March 2022 — as well as one in Buffalo, New York — with support from UK songwriter Lande Hekt and punk duo Mobina Galore. Grace will play Buffalo’s Rec Room on March 3rd before heading off to Montreal, where her tour will then take her through Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, and more. Hekt and Mobina Galore will serve as opening acts on all dates. Since live music returned, Grace’s touring schedule has kept her pretty busy. Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan has been forced to postpone her upcoming US and European tour dates due to a vocal cord injury that requires immediate surgery. “I’ve been struggling with my vocal health more and more each year. I lose my voice after a couple days of singing. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Announce 2022 Tour
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have reunited for Raise the Roof, the follow-up to their 2007 blockbuster covers album Raising Sand. The duo’s second record is out now via Rounder Records. What’s more, the pair has announced an international tour for next year. Recorded right before lockdown with Raising Sand producer T Bone Burnett, Raise the Roof features covers of classic blues, country, folk, and soul music originally sung by the likes of Merle Haggard and The Everly Brothers. Twenty One Pilots have announced “The Icy Tour 2022,” a 23-city outing taking place across the US and Canada next summer. The tour comes includes high-profiles date at Madison Square Garden in New York City; the all-new UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York; Scotiabank Arena in Toronto; Bridgestone Arena in Nashville; Chase Center in San Francisco; and Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem and Swedish black metal veterans Watain are teaming up for a co-headlining 2022 North American tour. Blackened speed metal band Midnight will serve as support.
