Tool Announce Massive 54-Date Tour for 2022
Tool will the return to the road in 2022 for an expansive tour that includes shows across the US, UK, and Europe. All told, Tool will play 54 concerts between January and May of next year. The tour officially kicks off on January 10th in Eugene, Oregon — the location of the next show Tool had been scheduled to play before canceling their 2020 tour due to the pandemic. It’s been a particularly rough pandemic for frontman Maynard James Keenan, who contracted COVID-19 not once but twice. The singer surmised that he likely contracted COVID the first time during the band’s February 2020 tour of Australia and New Zealand. Ministry Postpone US Tour to Spring 2022, Tap Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity as Support
Industrial legends Ministry have pushed their US tour from this fall to spring 2022 “out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of the band, fans and venue staff.” The new itinerary comes with new support acts, as the Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity take the place of Helmet and Front Line Assembly. The outing will now kick off March 6th in Baltimore, Maryland, and run through an April 18th date in Seattle. The route will hit most regions across the US. Frusciante returned to the RHCP fold after the band fired his replacement, Josh Klinghoffer, after 10 years and two albums. Laura Jane Grace has an affinity for surprises. Almost a year to the day after sharing her last solo album, Stay Alive, the Against Me! powerhouse has offered yet another surprise release with her new EP, At War with the Silverfish, out now via Polyvinyl. Additionally, Grace has also unveiled a run of 2021 tour dates, with more shows to be added soon. alt-J have announced their new album, The Dream, out February 11th via Canvasback/Infection Music. As a preview, they unveiled “U&ME,” which marks the British outfit’s first new material in four years. They’ve also mapped out an extensive North American tour. The Dream was created in the year following the band’s 2017-2018 world tour in support of their last full-length, RELAXER. Elton John Postpones 2021 Tour Dates After Hip Injury
Sir Elton John has postponed the UK and European legs of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour” in order to have an operation on his injured hip. John had been scheduled to play already-rescheduled shows in cities across Europe through the end of October, with the UK run commencing on October 30th.
