Dancing with the Stars Is Waltzing Over to Disney+

Starting later this year, you’re going to need a Disney+ subscription if you want to keep watching celebrities fumble their way through some ballroom choreography. Dancing with the Stars is about to jump and jive over to the streaming service, becoming Disney+’s first-ever live series. Disney+ has picked up DWTS for two seasons, the first of which is scheduled for a Fall 2022 premiere. Since it first aired 16 years ago, the dance competition show — where celebrities are paired with professionals for a weekly choreographed performance — has spent all of its previous 30 seasons airing exclusively on ABC. “Dancing with the Stars has been a beloved staple on ABC for 30 seasons and brought so much joy to millions of viewers,” Disney Chairman of Entertainment Dana Walden said in a...

Thank God You Can See Master Chief’s Face in Halo the TV Show

The genre-defining video game Halo has been in development for a potential screen adaptation for nearly a decade now, and over that time one question has loomed large: Would we ever see the face of the franchise’s main character, a taciturn super-solider named Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, who has never been unmasked over the course of 16 video games made over 21 years? It’s a question that the Paramount+ series, which debuted this spring, answered towards the end of its first episode, as Master Chief (brought to life here by Pablo Schreiber) removed his helmet while being held at gunpoint by the terrified Kwan (Yerin Ha), in an effort to connect with her. Up until that point, Master Chief had been a man of action but always held at a distance by the show because of the full suit of...

Ex On The Beach Untruths: Jamar Was Just Caught Telling Da’Vonne A Whole Lot Of Lies

Hurricane season might reach its fever pitch in fall, but Ex on the Beach produced one hell of a summer storm on the show’s most recent episode, when the introduction of a brand new ex sent Da’Vonne – typically one for diplomacy and measured conversations – into hysterics. At the top of the second episode of MTV’s dating series, Da’Vonne – who’d been getting to know former couple Mike and Arisce better – said she loved watching them “blossom and grow” and hoped she’d eventually land the same type of connection for herself. But the wish sadly fell on deaf ears, and when Arisce said explicitly “[Da’Vonne] needs good news right now,” it seemed to set the inverse effect into motion, as Da’Vonne’s sudden summoning to the Shack of Secrets kicked off a swelling social cyclone. Upon Da’Vonne...

Meddling Man: Is Will Overstepping His Boundaries With Garrett On Siesta Key?

Garrett’s buddies aren’t holding back their suspicions about his relationship with Makenna, and it all came to a head on tonight’s Siesta Key episode. While others are moving out and breaking up, the now-engaged Garrett and Makenna are talking about shacking up, which has G’s roommate Will concerned that his friend might be “moving too fast.” According to Will and Tate, Kenna could be the one “pushing it.” After all, Garrett has a bit of a past when it comes to “being sh*t on by girls,” including the condescending b*tch (Kenna’s words!) Cara. “One of the biggest things for me is that he’s been so hurt by Cara and Kelsey,” Will told Tate. “I feel like t...

How to Promote Your Company the Effective Way

Image sourced from Nick Youngson CC BY-SA 3.0 Pix4free.org As any business owner knows, there is a lot of competition these days no matter what industry you are in. This is why promotion and marketing have become so vital, as otherwise, you will be left trailing behind by bigger competitors that have larger budgets. The good news is that promoting your business does not have to cost a fortune these days thanks to modern technology. The world of business advertising and promotion has changed dramatically over recent years. In the past, it was all about glossy print ads, radio advertising, and TV advertisements. These days, it is all about social media, brand activation, and other forms of digital marketing. This has made promotions easier and more affordable even for smaller businesses. Of ...

Five Takeaways from Donald Glover’s Bonkers Interview with Himself

Interview Magazine was founded by Andy Warhol and usually publishes — you guessed it — interviews. But what happens when a famous artist would rather not sit for someone else’s questions? On April 7th, Donald Glover provided an answer of sorts when the magazine published him interviewing himself. “Yeah, so first question, why’d you want to do this?” he writes, before responding, “I guess I don’t love interviews and I asked myself, ‘Why don’t you like interviews?’ And I think part of it is that the questions are usually the same. This way I can get questions I usually don’t get asked.” He offers project updates, bizarre opinions, reflections on his own work, and more. The results are occasionally illuminating and often very strange. Glover does indeed ask himself questions that few oth...

Vanessa Hudgens Has the “Gift” of Speaking to Ghosts: “I See Things”

Some people think Vanessa Hudgens is great and some people think she’s terrible, but as she revealed in a new appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she’s a uniquely qualified medium: The High School Musical star said she has been interacting with ghosts her whole life. The subject came up after a conversation about golf, where Clarkson joked about having a few drinks on the golf course. She then turned Hudgens’ attention to harder spirits: “Are you obsessed with ghosts?” she asked. “I’ve accepted the fact that I see things and I hear things,” Hudgens replied. Her apparition condition manifested at a young age, and ever since she’s had “a lot” of paranormal experiences. “Even as a child growing up, I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there wa...

Leah And Jaylan Just Celebrated Two Relationship Milestones On Teen Mom 2

Leah and Jaylan took two big, positive steps in their relationship on this week’s Teen Mom 2 episode. First, they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend: He asked to be exclusive when they were vacationing in Costa Rica with her sister Victoria. Second: He traveled from his current home base of Georgia to meet her three daughters in West Virginia. Right before the latter event unfolded, Leah told Jaylan that she wanted Ali, Aleeah and Addie to get to know the man “making their mama smile.” Even though Leah warned Jaylan that her little ladies would “put him to the test,” he was ready to know the girls face-to-face. And shortly after a school pickup, Leah asked them if they were open to the idea — and, of course, they were (Ali even replied with a simple...

Teen Mom 2 Crossroads: Should Kail And Vee Keep Business Out Of Their Friendship?

Kail did not film Teen Mom 2 for three months, but the mother of four is experiencing a “restart” with the docu-series. The mother of four is also hitting the reset button and starting over fresh with Vee — and the duo questioned whether or not they should mix their podcast (a business) and their unique relationship as friends as well as co-parents. But before diving into the “Baby Mamas All No Drama” drama, Kail elaborated about her return to TM2 with supervising producer Brendan. “I just reached a point in my life where I felt like things that were occurring didn’t align with the work I’ve been doing in therapy. And right around that time, I found out about Chris [filming Teen Mom 2]. I’m not saying one way or the other, but I had no ...

Bob Odenkirk to Star in New AMC Series Straight Man

The final season of Better Call Saul hasn’t even premiered yet, but AMC and Bob Odenkirk have already set their sights on the actor’s next project. Titled Straight Man, the series is being fast-track developed with a targeted premiere in 2023. Straight Man centers around the mid-life crisis of William Henry Devereaux, Jr. (Odenkirk), the unlikely chairman of the English department at the badly underfunded Railton College in the Pennsylvania rust belt. Showrunners Aaron Zelman (Damages) and Paul Lieberstein (The Office) are adapting the series from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo’s novel of the same name, with Peter Farrelly attached to direct. Zelman and Lieberstein will also executive produce with Odenkirk, Farrelly, Russo, Naomi Odenkirk, and Marc Provissiero. ...

Johnny Depp-Amber Heard Defamation Trial to Air on Court TV

Next week, Johnny Depp’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard goes to trial in Fairfax County, Virginia. With expected witnesses including James Franco and Elon Musk, it will draw plenty of media attention on its own and now, Court TV has announced it will be providing the televised feed. The network will be the official pool feed provider for the lawsuit, promising in a press release to “provide viewers unobstructed and unbiased views of the proceedings.” Of course, Court TV will also air its own analysis of the trial. “Court cases that are as high-profile as this one often create a lot of noise, and it can be difficult for viewers to break through these distractions to have a clear picture of the facts, but that’s where we come in,” said Acting Head of Cour...

Stephen Merchant Explains Why He Wanted to Act in The Outlaws (A Decision He Came to Regret)

The groundbreaking British sitcom The Office and FX’s captivating Sons of Anarchy spinoff Mayans M.C. couldn’t have less in common, except for one thing: Their respective co-creators are now collaborators. Writers Stephen Merchant and Elgin James recently teamed up together for the new original dramedy The Outlaws, which focuses on a group of eclectic strange ers brought together by court-ordered community service in Bristol. The idea for The Outlaws originated with Merchant, whose parents worked as supervisors of offenders doing community service. But to take on the story, as he recently told Collider, he told his agents “Put me in touch with someone who you just think is from the completely other side of the tracks to me.” This led to his first meeting with James, and together the pair c...
