The teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming Josh Brolin vehicle, Outer Range, left us intrigued with its Yellowstone meets The X-Files vibe. With the arrival of the full trailer, the streamer has offered us a closer look at the mind-bending neo-Western series while providing more questions than answers. In the clip, a stranger named Autumn (Imogen Poots) shows up on a sprawling ranch owned by Brolin’s Royal Abbott. Soon after, she points out a symbol that she’s been drawing for years. It’s clear Autumn’s arrival spells bad news. “You stay away from her,” Royal tells his family. Meanwhile, Abbott has been trying to fight off the wealthy Tillersons, who have set their sights on his land. Amid that stress, he spots a mysterious black hole in his pasture that seems to have drawn the i...
Kelsey and a newly single Juliette could soon have more in common than a passion for fashion. With her best friend Madisson now living in Los Angeles and planning a wedding, Kels is considering her own future — and that includes Max, her boyfriend of two years who recently swapped his home state of Kentucky for the Key. “It’s something I’ve thought about a lot, but also it’s hard because Max just moved here. I just feel like more and more recently, I have kind of been pushed out of the group, but I do...
If Ex on the Beach is about sowing wild oats, it might be time for Da’Vonne of The Challenge and Big Brother to get with the program. On this week’s premiere episode, Day came to terms with a romantic past that she’s deemed a little too conservative — so it time to go wild by barreling into her dating future, or would it be more worth her while to take a beat and dig deeper into her past? On the premiere episode, Da’Vonne, who’s famous for going head-to-head with Challenge contestants like Wes and Zach with no fear, showed a uniquely vulnerable side during the Singles’ first dinner. When the gang went around the table sharing the wildest places they’ve had sex (Arisce said a BMW, Ray admitted it was during a cruise with his family), Da’Vonne got teary. Not because s...

Believe it or not, Harrison Ford is about to star in his first-ever recurring TV series role. The Indiana Jones icon will hit the small screen alongside Jason Segel in Shrinking, a forthcoming Apple TV+ comedy from a pair of Ted Lasso alums: co-creator Bill Lawrence and writer Brett Goldstein, who also stars as Roy Kent. Ford will play a down-to-earth therapist named Dr. Phil Rhodes, whose recent Parkinson’s diagnosis pushes him outside his comfort zone in terms of both his career and relationships. He shares a practice with his protégé Jimmy (Segel), who decides to abandon his previous training and ethics and tell his clients exactly what he thinks — for better or worse. Segal, Lawrence, and Goldstein will all write and serve as executive producers. Shri...
For decades now, David Duchovny hasn’t been afraid to poke a little fun at his own image. The veteran TV star has peppered his career with roles in which he satirizes the nature of being “David Duchovny,” most recently seen in the first season of the Netlfix series The Chair, in which he satirized himself with aching attention to details like his recent literary and musical efforts. But as he tells Consequence, taking on the role of “David Duchovny” was a very different experience from his role in The Bubble, the new Netflix comedy directed and co-written by Judd Apatow. The Bubble tracks a pandemic-era cast and crew assembling to film the latest installment of a fictional blockbuster franchise called Cliff Beasts 6, with Duchovny playing Dustin Mulray, one of the film’s stars, whose compl...

Lean in, and listen up: all you do is take a company with an ad agency delivered logo, and value it at whatever you would like — just ensure that you like it above $1 billion. Next, you can quickly scramble to get that initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange followed by a massive party with circus animals, prostitutes and Ketamine. And bingo, here we are. Welcome ladies and gentleman, we present the so-called Unicorn. But unicorns tap into another American pastime, the snake eating its own tail. That eternal cycle of building up to unattainability, and then the crass hand...
The Pitch: “Meticulous.” “Chilling.” “Engrossing.” There are so many words that come to mind when sitting down with a new installment of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spin-off which has somehow soared to a whole new tier of quality over the years. No spoilers (for fear of the Salamancas knocking at the door), but it can be said that the first two episodes of Season 6 keep this proud tradition going. As the show gears up for its last hurrah (the first seven episodes of the final season debut starting Monday, April 18th, with the second half of the season returning in July), every element of one of TV’s best-made shows is working hard to invest us in so many of the show’s biggest questions, including the most important one of all: How’s it going to end? Where Were We? Season 5 of Saul e...
