With this year marking the 25th anniversary of Wes Craven’s first Scream film, David Arquette has shown no intention of distancing himself from anything and everything spooky. As if reprising his role as Woodsboro sheriff Dewey Riley in next year’s Scream reboot isn’t enough to cement his horror legacy, the actor has acquired the rights to a character we would argue is even more terrifying than Ghostface: Bozo the Clown. Arquette discussed the sale recently on Chicago’s WGN-TV, saying he’s been a longtime fan of the children’s entertainment icon. He’s Bozo’s first new owner in 65 years, having acquired the rights from Larry Harmon Pictures, which largely popularized the character. “I fell in love with Bozo when I was a kid living in Evanston, Illinois,” shared Arquette. “Bob Bell’s po...
Last week, Dave Chappelle drew backlash for continuing his pattern of making derogatory jokes about transgender people in his Netflix special The Closer, but for now the streamer’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos is standing by his cash cow. In an internal memo obtained by Variety, Sarandos vowed not to pull the special from Netflix, citing creative freedom. He also stated that the stand-up special doesn’t cross the company’s “line on hate” and delineated the “different standard of speech” that applies to stand-up compared to what is allowed internally. “Chapelle is one of the most popular stand-up comedians today, and we have a long standing deal with him,” wrote Sarandos. “His last special Sticks & Stones, also controversial, is our most watched, stickiest, and most award winning stand-up s...

With the third and final season of Narcos: Mexico premiering next month, Netflix has released an explosive trailer highlighting the chaotic war that leads to a new generation of drug kingpins. Watch it below. The clip spotlights Juárez cartel leader Amado Carrillo Fuentes (a returning José María Yázpik) as “the most powerful trafficker this country’s ever seen,” but fans of rapper and singer Bad Bunny (aka Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) can also spot the Puerto Rican superstar making his acting debut as Arturo “Kitty” Paez, a member of Ramon Arellano Felix’s gang called the “Narco Juniors.” With action set to Soundgarden’s classic “Black Hole Sun,” there are also plenty of shootouts, high-speed chases, and extravagant parties as the DEA tries to make their play against the narcos. The US Marshals Service carried out a sting operation in Scranton, Pennsylvania earlier this summer with a name tied to The Office. According to a press release dated October 4th, Operation Dunder Mifflin — presumably named after the beloved sitcom’s fictional paper company — was a multi-agency “effort to verify the registered addresses of convicted sex offenders” with help from both the Scranton Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police Megan’s Law Section. The operation was reportedly carried out from August 2nd to September 17th, and resulted in the arrest of nine individuals in violation of registered sex offender laws, and four others still being pursued by the Marshals Service. The second episode of Saturday Night Live’s 47th season featured arguably their most famous host of the initial four episodes: Kim Kardashian-West, who really feels like she should have been a novelty host circa 2009, rather than a first-timer in 2021. Hopefully she’s just this season’s token billionaire—and hopefully that slot is retired from the host lineup hereafter. Wearing a lot of gloves for October, Kardashian-West didn’t project the same disdain for the world as fellow socialite Paris Hilton did in her infamous hosting gig, or the same discomfiting cutesiness as Elon Musk. At the same time, her version of being a good sport mostly involved getting off some shots at her family (and ex-husband Kanye West), and jokingly promoting her SKIMS shapewear line (the commercial for shapewear ...
Red and Kitty Forman are set to welcome a new dumbass into the family. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has ordered a spinoff of That ’70s Show called That ’90s Show, and veteran actors Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will be returning to reprise their roles. That ’70s Show ran for eight seasons starting in 1998, making household names out of young stars like Topher Grace (Eric), Mila Kunis (Jackie), and Ashton Kutcher (Kelso), as well as Laura Prepon (Donna), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), and the now-disgraced Danny Masterson (Hyde). Their characters’ stoned antics gave the show its forward thrust, but the stakes often came from the fear that Red and Kitty would find out. Now, a new generation will be threatened with Red’s foot up their asses. While the young peopl...
Beth Anthony, Beth Stolarczyk, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, Irene Berrera-Kearns, Jon Brennan and Tami Roman are doing “this” — aka “picked to live in a house” once again and be real. The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on Wednesday, November 24. The multi-episode docuseries will reunite original Los Angeles cast members Beth A, Beth S, David, Glen, Irene, Jon and Tami in the same iconic Venice beach house from 1993. Yes, we’re serious, Jon! “We’re back!” Beth S states in the first look above. And yes, “let’s do this,” Tami. But not everyone is feeling “polite.” Who is upset that they are “being cut off” while speaking — and storms off of a yacht...
In 2009, shortly after an ambulance arrived at her Los Angeles home, Brittany Murphy died of what the coroner said was pneumonia. Pneumonia is a serious illness, but it isn’t usually fatal for 32-year-olds, and can often be easily treated at the hospital, so questions have swirled ever since. The upcoming HBO Max documentary What Happened, Brittany Murphy? seeks to figure out just that: What happened? And in the first trailer, the strange behavior of her husband Simon Monjack casts a long shadow. “Simon took her away,” one interviewee notes in the preview. “He made sure no one could get to her.” We see footage of her life from as early as middle school, and track her progress from someone who was already skinny to a big star who had “lost an inordinate amount of weight.” The...
Longtime Food Network personality Bobby Flay is reportedly leaving the channel after 27 years. Variety reports that talks between Flay and Food Network on a new contract are at an impasse. Flay’s current deal expires at the end of the year, and Food Network has reportedly chose to end further negotiations. Flay has been with Food Network since its launch in 1994, appearing on tentpole series including Chopped, Next Food Network Star, and Iron Chef America. If anyone knows what makes Vinny tick — the good, the bad, and the sexual tension — it’s Angelina. Forever the unexpected guest on just about every vacation, tonight’s Double Shot at Love concluded with a chicken cutlet fake butt cheek on the dinner table and a surprise phone call from Angelina. Here’s how it went down: After a freshly eliminated JJ handed her ass to Vinny, along with the tidbit that the remaining women are those “who have talked sh*t and are being fake,” DJ Pauly D got a random call from his Jersey Shore roommate. “Angelina. What the hell does she want? It’s never a good thing when Angelina calls,” the DJ said. “Um, hello! I just read the f*cking news, and you guys didn’t invite me?...
