‘It Just Can’t Get Better’: Mike Is Celebrating 5 Years Of Sobriety On Jersey Shore

Someone get Mike a massive slice of Funfetti with extra sprinkles… he earned it! Few comebacks have been more celebrated in MTV history than that of The Situation. Once considered a bit of a loose cannon in Seaside Heights, Big Daddy Sitch has become the voice of reason for the entire Jersey Shore fam in recent years. During this week’s Family Vacation episode, viewers saw the Karma OG reaching a “monster milestone” in his inspirational journey: five years clean and sober. “I wear my sobriety on my chest like a badge of honor,” he said. “It’s not easy to walk on that road that is less traveled, but it is so worth it.” Whereas BDS was once known to headbutt concrete walls and get pelted with everything from ...

Die Hard’s Jeb Stuart to Write Assassin’s Creed Live-Action Series at Netflix

Netflix is slowly chipping away at their new Assassin’s Creed live-action TV series, and the proof is in Jeb Stuart. The screenwriter best known for penning blockbuster action films like Die Hard has just been tapped to write the highly anticipated adaptation. Stuart has ventured into the world of TV shows before for Netflix, including limited series like The Liberator and the recent addition Vikings: Valhalla, the sequel to History Channel’s Vikings. However, he’s best known for his feature film scripts, many of which went on to become staples in the action genre. He made a splash when his first screenplay turned into Die Hard in 1988. Afterwards, he went on to help pen the sci-fi horror Leviathan, Sylvester Stallone’s prison thriller Lock Up, the 1993 classic The Fugitive. He even w...

It will also introduce Briana Middleton as LeFou’s stepsister, Tilly. Gad developed, wrote, and executive-produced the series alongside Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who are known for their work on the ABC fantasy-drama series ...

DC Nixed Batman/Catwoman Oral Sex Scene in HBO Max’s Harley Quinn

As DC Comics fans patiently await the third season of HBO Max’s Harley Quinn, the creators behind the adult animated series have revealed details about one especially NSFW scene that didn’t end up in the show: Batman giving oral sex to Catwoman. “It’s incredibly gratifying and free to be using characters that are considered villains because you just have so much more leeway,” co-creator Justin Halpern told Variety. “A perfect example of that is in this third season of Harley we had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman. And DC was like, ‘You can’t do that. You absolutely cannot do that.’” Halpern continued, “They’re like, ‘Heroes don’t do that.’ So, we said, ‘Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?’ They were like, ‘No, it’s that we sell consumer toys for heroes. It’...

Big Mouth Spinoff Human Resources Casts Randall Park, Aidy Bryant, and Keke Palmer

Netflix has announced Randall Park, Aidy Bryant, and Keke Palmer are joining the voice cast of the first Big Mouth spinoff, Human Resources. Big Mouth leads Nick Kroll and Maya Rudolph will also feature in the offshoot of the Primetime Emmy-winning animated coming-of-age series. Park (Fresh Off the Boat), Bryant (Saturday Night Live), and Palmer (Hustlers) will appear on Human Resources as series regulars alongside a few other Big Mouth cast members: longtime Shame Wizard voice David Thewlis and Brandon Kyle Goodman. Human Resources will take place in the more adult world of Big Mouth hormone monsters Maurice (Kroll) and Connie (Rudolph), as opposed to the middle school setting of the original show. It will be inhabited by Shame Wizards, Depression Kitties, and “a host of ot...

NBC Shuts Down Slip ‘N Slide Game Show After “Explosive Diarrhea” Outbreak

Well, here’s one way to get out of work: production on NBC’s upcoming game show, Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide, has been put on pause indefinitely after an outbreak of “explosive diarrhea” occurred on set earlier this month. Now, that’s what we call a shitshow. Filming officially shut down on June 2nd, when producers were first made aware that a crew member had tested positive for giardia, a tiny parasite that causes a diarrheal disease called giardiasis. While test samples of a well, pond, slide pool, water truck, and restroom sinks all came back negative for giardia, additional results found on June 10th that giardia had been in the set’s surrounding area. It’s unclear exactly how many people were affected by the disease, but a source told TheWrap that up to 40 crew members fell violently ill s...

Tuca and Bertie Season 2 Is Beaker and Better Than Ever: Review

The Pitch: Birdtown’s most endearingly dysfunctional duo is back, and they haven’t really changed that much. Toucan Tuca (Tiffany Haddish) is the same boisterous, ebullient, troublingly irresponsible thirtysomething she always was; same with Bertie (Ali Wong), a neurotic songbird wrestling with deep-seated impostor syndrome and a stable, if unexciting, relationship with longtime live-in boyfriend Speckle (Steven Yeun). Bertie’s shopping around for the right therapist to figure out her myriad personal issues, including reeling from the sexual harassment she experienced at the hands of a celebrity chef she worked under last season. Tuca, for her part, wrestles with her neediness and insomnia, and the sudden responsibilities thrust upon her by a rapidly passing sense of adulthood. Togeth...

Every Marvel Movie and TV Show Ranked From Worst to Best

This feature originally ran in April 2015 and will be periodically updated and re-published with the latest Marvel releases. Welcome to Dissected, where we disassemble a band’s catalog, a director’s filmography, or some other critical pop-culture collection in the abstract. It’s exact science by way of a few beers. This time, we sort through the best and worst of Marvel’s seemingly never-ending cinematic universe. Have a quick glance at this: Related Video That was April 2006. Now, 15 years later, the outline for Marvel’s ambitious (many at the time said overzealous) plan to take over movie theaters has been made manifest. Under their watch, a movie partially centered around a sassy talking raccoon and a giant tree fighting space evil became one of the highest-grossing films of 2014. In 20...

Yes, She’s Back: This Beloved Jersey Shore Roomie Finally Returned

The party is literally here. Like, with balloons and streamers and everything. We didn’t know if tonight’s joyous Jersey Shore: Family Vacation reunion would ever happen, but here we are — and we’re just so happy. More than a year after announcing her departure from the show, Snooki is back, b*tches! Seems the original meatball wasn’t about to miss Mike’s five-year soberversary, even though JWOWW had her doubts. “This is a super long shot, but I’m gonna call Nicole and invite her to the soberversary parade — even though I know she most likely won’t come,” said Jenni, as she was rallying the troops for Mike’s surprise drive-by celebration. A refresher: During the aftermath of the reception sp...

He-Man’s Abs Have the Power in First Trailer for Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation: Watch

Kevin Smith and Netflix have unleashed the first teaser trailer for Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and wow, He-Man’s stomach looks like a glistening, oversized cheese grater. Fans got their first look at the revival in May, with stills of He-Man flexing with his sword and staring (erotically?) into Skeletor’s eyes. The new trailer adds movement alongside one portentous piece of dialogue, as Skeletor (Mark Hamill) sneers “Call your champion.” If you insist. From there, the 90-second clip embarks on a torrid pace of action, set to an over-the-top update of Bonnie Tyler’s ’80s classic “Holding Out for a Hero”. Meanwhile, the trailer raises several important questions, such as: Does He-Man have three rows of abs with four abs each? Why is the camera so often centered on his gro...

‘Like Everyone Else’: Ali Gets A Brand-New Wheelchair On Teen Mom 2

Seven years ago, Ali got her first wheelchair; the image of the then-little girl going for her inaugural ride is a standout for longtime Teen Mom 2 viewers. Leah’s 11-year-old daughter — who uses the device to help conserve energy during long distances — outgrew her previous device and the family waited for more than a year (due to pandemic-related delays) for a new one. On this week’s episode, the wait was over. “This is more compact, [and it will] be easier to navigate for her. It’s a new technology,” Corey told his ex before Ali received it. It was a family affair when the “new wheels” arrived: Leah, Corey and Aleeah watched Ali take it for a spin. And just like old times, the twins (plus Leah!) had a good ol’ fashioned mini ra...

Cowboy Bebop Composer Yoko Kanno Returns to Score Netflix’s Live-Action Series

<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-06-09T00:25:41+00:00“>June 8, 2021 | 8:25pm ET Netflix has been working on a live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop for years now and the pandemic delayed it ever further, but thankfully the series is finally set premiere later this year. Perhaps even more exciting, the streamer revealed that Yoko Kanno, the original composer who worked on the classic anime series, will return to score the upcoming version. Kanno will create the soundtrack for the new series as she sees fit, which means fans can likely expect a faithful homage to the original’s music with a couple modern updates that suit it thrown in, too. Because shooting wrapped up earlier this year, it’s likely that she’s w...
