Cedric the Entertainer, one of The Original Kings of Comedy, has been tapped to host the 2021 Emmy Awards. This 73rd edition of the Emmys will take place September 19th. The man born Cedric Antonio Kyles cut his teeth as a standup comic, but in recent years he’s been a constant presence on screens large and small, with recurring work in the Madagascar franchise and a current starring role on the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood. He’ll be taking over hosting duties from Jimmy Kimmel, who MC’d the 72nd ceremony in 2020. The Emmys went without a host in 2019. “Since I was a little boy huddled up next to my grandmother, television has always been my reliable friend, so it is an enormous honor for me to host this year’s Emmy Awards,” said Cedric the Entertainer in a sta...

Jackass Star Bitten Trying to Literally Jump the Shark During Shark Week Stunt

The cast members of Jackass made a name for themselves by throwing caution to the wind and taking part in dangerous (and oftentimes disgusting) pranks. It’s been decades since the first episode of their original MTV show debuted and they’re still happily putting themselves in harms way to entertain viewers — most recently, as part of a Shark Week segment on The Discovery Channel, by attempting to literally jump the shark and getting bitten in the process. On Sunday night, The Jackass Shark Week Special reunited Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and Sean McInerney — AKA Poopies — with their new cast member Jasper, of Odd Future and Loiter Squad fame. It feels both shocking and completely logical that this band of giggly misfits would be hired to goof off for Discovery, especially du...

He had been scheduled to appear for arraignment the morning of July 12th, after previously missing his arraignment in late June. Following this second no-show, as TMZ and Cox Media Group have reported, a judge in King County, Washington, has issued a $100,000 warrant for his arrest. The 29-year-old actor first found himself in legal trouble in 2019, when the alleged victim in this case sued him for $1.5 million. Who’s Who In The Gossip Girl Reboot, According To Its Stars

By Gina Marinelli Gossip Girl is no stranger to transformations. In the first three seasons of the early aughts series, Jenny Humphrey went from a preppy freshman desperate for approval to a rebel with a penchant for heavy eyeliner, eventually leaving the world she once tried to fit into. But its biggest makeover to date is out today (July 8) on HBO Max with a vampy reboot that seeks to interrogate the influencer generation with fierce style and sometimes biting accuracy. Some of the show’s hallmarks remain the same, including the hallowed (albeit renovated) halls of Constance Billard, the backdrop of New York City, and the show’s perennial pot-stirrer, Gossip Girl. It follows the charmed, if only on the surface, lives of New York City’s wealthiest teens as their most private and dark secr...
