When the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, The Office officially switched over from Netflix to Peacock, NBC’s new streaming platform. That transition may have come as a shock to some fans, but it also comes with plenty of welcome surprises. Case and point: NBC has shared a previously unreleased cold open from The Office’s finale that sees Dwight falling for a ridiculous prank. In the clip, which lasts nearly five minutes, Jim and Pam join forces to trick Dwight into thinking he’s living in the real-world version of The Matrix. He witnesses the same cat run by twice, his computer spontaneously produces a prompt with that iconic green font, and two mysterious men in sunglasses appear in the Dunder Mifflin office. Unsurprisingly, Dwight geeks out and runs away as ordered — and str...

R.I.P. Tanya Roberts, That ’70s Show’s Midge Dead at 65

Tanya Roberts, a former Bond girl and ’80s B-movie star who later played Donna Pinciotti’s mom Midge on That ’70s Show, has died at the age of 65. According to TMZ, Roberts was hospitalized on Christmas Eve after collapsing in her home. She passed away on Sunday, January 3rd. A former teenage model, Roberts re-located to Los Angeles in the late 1970s to pursue a career in acting. She initially landed bit parts and roles in B-movies, but in 1980 she was chosen from some 2,000 candidates to replace Shelley Hack in the fifth season of ABC’s Charlie’s Angels. The gig proved to be short-lived, however, as Charley’s Angels was canceled at the end of the season. Roberts was subsequently cast in the 1982 cult fantasy film The Beastmaster and the 1983 made-for-TV movie Murder Me, Murder You. In 198...

Harassment Suit Against Danny Masterson Headed to Scientology Mediation After Judge’s Ruling

A judge has ruled that four of five allegations of stalking and intimidation filed again Danny Masterson must be mediated within the Church of Scientology. The case was filed last summer, alleging that Masterson and the Church of Scientology threatened and harassed four women and one of their husbands who had publicly accused the disgraced That ’70s Show actor of sexual assault. Because four of the complainants — Chrissie Carnell Bixler; her husband, At the Drive-In frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala; and two Jane Does — were previously members of Scientology and signed an arbitration agreement with the Church, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steven Kleifield ruled those charges must mediated by Scientology officials. Turns out that charm followed her into adulthood. Wells was crowned Miss Nevada in 1959 and even competed in the 1960 Miss America beauty pageant — the same year she graduated from the University of Washington. Initially, Wells’ early acting career was defined by smaller roles on TV shows like W...
