Double Agent Deactivated: Natalie Addresses Her Unexpected Challenge Exit

Natalie appeared on Survivor twice (winning San Juan del Sur and finishing second on Winners at War) and got off to a strong start on The Challenge: Double Agents with the first Gold Skull. But during this week’s episode, the stellar rookie was deactivated from the competition and “no longer cleared” to be in the game. “It sucks that I have to step out because all I want to do is compete,” Natalie stated shortly after TJ delivered the news to everyone before the mission “Agents Down.” “It’s breaking my heart to leave. I just hope that I can come back and prove that I was built for this game and hopefully next time finish the job I started.” Now, Natalie — who was paired up with Cory at the time — is opening up about th...

Movie and TV Studios are Cutting Ties with Republicans After Storming of Capitol

The world’s largest entertainment conglomerates have either very recently grown a backbone or found a convenient excuse to save money. But as The Hollywood Reporter and New York Times report, after a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol building, coming mere feet and seconds away from a confrontation with lawmakers, companies such as Comcast, The Walt Disney Company, Hallmark, AT&T, Facebook, and the Motion Picture Association are cutting off political contributions to members of the Republican party. Most of the backlash is centered around the man who is somehow still President, Donald Trump. He’s already received bans from Facebook and Twitter, and other digital platforms including Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, and Twitch have since followed suit. Now, entertainment heavyweights are cuttin...

Jeopardy! Celebrated Rob Zombie’s Birthday with a Clue About the Rocker-Director: Watch

Rob Zombie turned 56 years old on Tuesday (January 12th), and he received the ultimate television honor — a mention on Jeopardy! The rocker-director was the correct response to a clue about his movie House of 1000 Corpses. With previous champion Ken Jennings guest hosting in the wake of the legendary Alex Trebek’s tragic passing in November, last night’s new airing of Jeopardy! featured a category titled “Insane Clown Posse”. No, the category wasn’t about the face-painted rap duo or their Juggalo fans. Instead, it focused on famous clowns from horror movies and TV. The clue was, “Hooray for Captain Spaulding, the murderous clown in House of 1000 Corpses, directed by this White Zombie frontman.” The correct $1,200 question, of course, was, “Who is Rob Zombie?”, as answered by contestant Dus...

Screen Style: The Movies and TV Shows Shaping Our Wardrobes This Year

It’s no secret that the stylish characters of our favourite films and TV series were the unexpected fashion influencers of 2020. In only 28 days, The Queen’s Gambit was Netflix’s most watched series to date, and that’s heavily in part due to Beth Harmon’s bombshell ’60s style. Then, the internet was divided over that green coat on The Undoing and if we should all be dressing like Regency-era debutantes in Bridgeton. If you’ve been living vicariously through glamorous onscreen fashion moments lately, then you’ll love the stylish movies and tv shows coming up in 2021. This year’s most fashionable films include psychological thriller Last Night in Soho, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Anya Taylor-Joy as an up-and-coming fashion desig...

Silence of the Lambs Sequel Series Clarice Gets First Trailer: Watch

CBS has released the first official trailer for Clarice, the upcoming sequel TV series to The Silence of the Lambs, ahead of the show’s scheduled February premiere. Watch it below. Clarice takes place in 1993, one year after the events of the original Silence of the Lambs movie unfolded. Billed as a psychological thriller, the show follows FBI agent and feminist icon Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators, all while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C. Unlike the show’s motif-heavy teaser trailer, we get a much better idea of what to expect from Clarice in this latest clip. The new trailer suggests that Starling spent the previous months in hiding, attempting to grapple with the trauma and...

The Evolution of Ted Danson, Mr. Mayor of Television

If it feels like Ted Danson has always been on our television screens, well, it’s because that’s more or less true. He’s been around since at least the mid-1970s, cropping up in one long-running sitcom after another, buoying that with everything from prestige dramas to procedurals to a brief stint as a movie star in the ’90s (Three Men and a Baby, anyone?) He’s one of the hardest-working, and most ubiquitous, people in show business, cultivating a very specific persona that has itself morphed and changed as Danson’s hair has turned from brown to gray. Now, fresh off a four-year stint on the critically-acclaimed The Good Place, Danson finds himself as yet another bumbling man of power in a crisp suit, although a bit less openly demonic this time: Mayor Neil Bremer on NBC’s latest show, ...

‘You Don’t Get Used To That’: The Challenge‘s Big T Reveals Her Heartbreaking Childhood

Big T had a brief Challenge debut on War of the Worlds 2 (the Team UK member was the second player ousted), and then the Brit showed some serious Total Madness game play and social savviness (but was ousted due to a medical disqualification). Her Double Agents journey has already been eventful: She lost her partner Joseph in the second Season 36 elimination and is now paired with the legendary CT after a big teammates shakeup. But during this week’s episode, viewers saw a different side of the humorous competitor and got to hear Big T’s “origin story.” “When I was two years old, my little brother died,” she told Devin, Amber M and Kyle. “And then my mom got cervical cancer, and in my culture in Malawi, adoption isn’t a thing. When you give yo...

Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall, who’s been feuding with Parker for the last several years, will not be returning for the sequel series. Based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name, Sex and the City ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2004. Two feature-length films followed in 2008 and 2010. Roku Purchases Quibi’s Library

It’s about nine months too late, but you’ll soon finally be able to watch Quibi shows on your television. Via Deadline, Roku has acquired 75 titles from the Quibi library that will stream for free with commercials on the Roku Channel. Quibi launched last April with a billion dollars in funding and a dream: to reinvent streaming with “quick bites” of content beamed straight to your mobile phone. The platform’s hopes of gripping an on-the-go populace with ten-minute stories quickly came up against the pandemic; suddenly with too much time on their hands, the target audience was craving binge-watching marathons, not short chapters. Worse, Quibi wasn’t compatible with streaming hardware like Rokus or Amazon Fire TV, which meant people trapped on the couch couldn’t watch it on their TVs. Quibi ...

Denmark Launches Children’s TV Show About Man with Giant, Uncontrollable Penis

Danish TV show John Dillermand is about a man with a very long penis, photo via DR TV The Danes sure do it differently — sex education, that is. Last Saturday, Denmark’s national broadcasting company premiered a new children’s TV show about a man with an extraordinarily long and uncontrollable penis. Created by DR, the country’s equivalent of the BBC, in collaboration with actual sex educators, the animated series follows John Dillermand, said to be the world’s most well endowed man. The titular character often uses his record-breaking phallus as a helpful tool to overcome various challenges (taming lions), as well as complete everyday tasks (outdoor BBQing, as seen above). However, there are certain instances when his penis, acting completely independently of Dillermand, gets him in ...
