Nelson made arguably the most selfless move in Challenge history when he volunteered to go into an elimination near the end of Total Madness to secure safety for his best friend Cory (both men already had Red Skulls and were eligible for the final). Nelson, sadly, was defeated but felt no remorse for his actions — and Cory went on to finish third. So does the Are You the One? alum think his pal should return the favor on Double Agents? “I don’t think Cory owes me one from last season. I didn’t do that to come into this season to have a debt paid,” Nelson revealed to MTV News (right before the game officially began). “That was out of pure heart and love.” And would Nelson, who came close to winning on Invasion of the Champions, sacrifice himself aga...
Two months after seeing his debut appearance on SNL canceled after breaking COVID protocol, country singer Morgan Wallen got a second crack at serving as the show’s musical guest during last night’s episode. In a sketch preceding his first performance, Wallen spoofed the incident that led to his initial cancelation. If you recall, Wallen had been scheduled to play SNL on October 10th, but his appearance was pulled at the last-minute after video surfaced of him partying at a University of Alabama bar. He was replaced by Jack White, who delivered one of the most memorable performances in recent SNL history. Last night’s sketch opened with Wallen walking into a bar with a beer in his left hand and his face covering around his neck. “To no consequences!” he yells, before kissing a college girl...
Ronnie is ready to settle down after “a lot of bad relationships” (his words, not ours). In the midst of a Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Oh, and a pandemic. In a much better place than he was last year, the Bronx native is focused on his recent move to Los Angeles and “being a single dad” to Ariana. And tonight’s episode saw single Ronnie ready to mingle. “For once, I’m looking for a long time and not a good time. I’m tired of cycling through girls and relationships,” he admitted, admiring Mike and Lauren’s relationship. “I want someone that’s gonna be my best friend.” Enter Pauly and Vinny, the self-confessed “dating connoisseurs” with plenty of experience from Dou...
If The Mandalorian Season 2 were a feature film, this week’s episode, “The Tragedy”, would set us firmly in the mid-point — that moment where all is lost, doom befalls our heroes, and the audience wonders how they’re going to get out of this particular pickle. It’s one of the shorter episodes in the season at 33 minutes, but a lot goes down in that jam-packed half hour: Boba Fett! Baby Yoda The Child Grogu gets Jedi-napped! Of course, all these developments are packed tightly into an action-heavy chapter courtesy of director Robert Rodriguez, filled with nail-biting developments, shocking twists, and more than a few Easter eggs (as per usual). So let’s strap on our jetpacks and dive in. Again, it goes without saying that there are some major, major spoilers ahead. You must b...
By Kim Hoyos For actress Christian Serratos, playing the titular role in Netflix’s Selena: The Series isn’t just another milestone in her already impressive career. After holding down three seasons as the popular girl Suzie Crabgrass in the Nickelodeon sitcom Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, she played the hot-headed survivalist Rosita Espinosa in AMC’s The Walking Dead, as well as the shy, kind-hearted Angela Weber throughout the Twilight films; but her latest part is her most personal yet. In her eyes, it’s an opportunity to pay tribute to the late Mexican-American Tejano pop icon Selena Quintanilla, in the only way she knows how: by channeling the skills she’s honed into a deeply layered and intimate look at a singer whose musical breakthroughs and untimely death immortalized h...
Darrell Taylor has the most Challenge wins of anyone vying for the Double Agents title, and the four-time champ knows this sets him apart from the rest of the Season 36 competitors. “I feel like it’s a big target on my back,” the Road Rules alum reveals in the clip above. “They’re going to be coming after me.” But the good guy (a nod to Inferno 2) isn’t the only veteran player returning to the unique game after several years. Theresa Jones is trying to secure her first W after last appearing on MTV back in 2015. “My life has changed tremendously. I now have two children,” the Fresh Meat 2 rookie turned Battle of the Exes 2 finalist divulges in the video. So how will she — and Darrell — form alliances with the people who have...
The Secret Service questioned John Mulaney after he hosted SNL in February, even though, as the comedian stressed, the joke in question “was not about Donald Trump.” Mulaney related the experience last night in a remote appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He explained that “there’s a service that operates for the president, and they are secret,” and he was only sure they existed because, “they investigated me.” He said, “In February, I did a joke that was not about Donald Trump. The joke was about how it was a Leap Year, and Leap Year had been started by Julius Caesar to correct the calendar. And another thing that happened with Caesar was that he was stabbed to death by a bunch of senators because he went crazy. And I said, ‘That’s an interesting thing that could happen.’” He...
Kailyn chronicled her fourth delivery during tonight’s Teen Mom 2 episode. But the arrival of baby number 4 wasn’t like her experiences with Isaac, Lincoln and Lux. “I’m going to deliver at home, so that’s all good news,” Kail told TM2 co-executive producer Kristen via Zoom. “When I went to the hospital today, it was super-crazy and intense because of COVID. Obviously, everyone is masked and stuff, but they had tarps everywhere.” Kail explained that “there’s no normal birth plan” even with her new arrangement, because her midwife was wearing a mask for an at-home check-in. As for her three kiddos, Isaac and Lincoln were going to be at their dad’s and Lux would remain with Kail. Kailyn’s friend Natalie filmed the ...
Elliot Page will return as Vanya Hargreeves in the third season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy. Hulu is heading to Mordor in December. Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien who don’t already own The Lord of the Rings trilogy will find solace in revisiting The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. Hell, it wasn’t too long ago their theatrical releases were a holiday tradition. Beyond the Eye of Sauron are a handful of Hulu originals: The Hardy Boys are back for modern times, Amy Seimetz’s She Dies Tomorrow is now free to stream, and You Cannot Kill David Arquette is bringing the meta humor. It’s not much, but there’s a silver lining to the lean offerings. By the end of the month, the streaming service is losing a ton of films — from its Bond collection to The Bourne Identity films to all the Star Treks — which means you better get your binge on. Check out the full list ...
