Catfish’s newest episode challenged a 24-year-old gay man to examine whether his strong emotions for an Internet crush were, indeed, love, or whether they were simply admiration for someone who seemed more comfortable being gay. On tonight’s installment, Nev and Kamie reached out to Dustin, a Floridian whose teenage coming out was met with judgment and contempt from family. Dustin said over Zoom that his stepfather was so dismayed to learn he’s gay, the man forced Dustin into dangerous conversion therapy. Dustin’s consequent journey into adulthood was not easy, but he said one thing that gave his 16-year-old self hope was meeting a fellow teenager named Keegan on Facebook. Keegan, a Vermont native who seemed effortlessly out and proud, began to serve as a “safe harbor” for Dust...
One out of seven young adults needs treatment for addiction — and MTV will present an unprecedented look at what it’s like to be 16 and Recovering. The brand-new series (watch an extended look below) is premiering on September 1 — at the beginning of National Recovery Month — and will go inside the hallways of Northshore Recovery High School to showcase the lives of students and families’ paths to recovery as they are guided by faculty members. Principal Michelle Lipinski founded the school to create a safe and supportive community while placing a high value on education and accountability. Steve Liss — executive producer and director of the four-part docu-series — spent one year with the Northshore community and recently spoke with MTV News about the ex...
Teen Mom 2‘s Chelsea Houska is pregnant with her fourth (!) bundle of joy (her third little one with husband Cole DeBoer). The MTV kiddos will now outnumber their parents 2-1! And speaking of the DeBoer children, how does Chelsea’s first mini-me feel about the upcoming addition to the clan? “Aubree’s excited!” Chelsea, who will soon be tied with Kailyn Lowry for being mom to the most munchkins on the long-running series, revealed to MTV News. “She knew we wanted one more, so it wasn’t a huge surprise.” But Aubree’s siblings don’t quite get all of the excitement in the DeBoer household about the petite princess. “They will both say there’s a baby in my tummy, but I don’t think they understand what that means at all,” Ch...
No challenging this fact: Kailah Casillas is going to be a bride! The Total Madness player — who made her MTV debut back in 2016 on Real World: Go Big or Go Home — is engaged to Love Island and Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love alum Sam Bird. Another Holy Trinity member is going to be a Mrs.! “I’m marrying my favorite person in the world @samrobertbird,” the veteran competitor captioned the snapshot above with her brand-new diamond ring. Sam — who popped the question while the lovebirds (heh!) are vacationing in Greece — sweetly commented on the post with, “Can’t wait for the rest of our life together” and a blue heart emoji. Birds of a feather do indeed flock together. Kailah and Sam met on social media — and unveiled their romance b...

And now, the two — who announced their romance at the onset of Season 3 to much surprise — are engaged. We agree with you, Juliette — it’s “so cute”! Before Madisson and Ish get ready to become the first SK husband and wife duo, we’re looking back at their small-screen journey together. It all began when Madisson spent some time in Los Angeles, where Ish lives. The two became more than business acquaintances — and from their initial time on-screen, it was clear that Madisson’s relationship wit...
Molly Tarlov has some big news to share. “You’re welcome!” in advance. The Awkward star, who portrayed lovable antagonist Sadie Saxton on the hit MTV series, just welcomed her first child with husband Alexander Noyes. We’re sure her fictional HBIC alter ego is doing some sort of Palos Hills-based cheer to celebrate the exciting news. “Harry never been more obsessed/in love w anything ever sorry alex,” Molly captioned the photograph above of her brand-new baby boy. Molly, who wed Alex in 2017 with a bunch of Awkward alums in attendance, announced in April that the couple would welcome their first munchkin (as seen in the Instagram photo below). The self-proclaimed “quarantine mom” also exhibited her trademark humor with a playful take on these...

Earlier this year, it was revealed that “Weird Al” Yankovic would be portraying Ted Nugent on the Quibi reboot of Reno 911!. Now, we have a full clip of our favorite parody expert fully embodying the disgraced Southern rocker/right-wing asshole. In a scene titled “T-Shirt Gun”, one of Nugent’s employees meets him before a political rally to show him the high-powered t-shirt cannon that he prepared for use on stage. Nugent jokes about putting a silencer on it and the two laugh, but as Nugent approaches the scrum of police officers and screaming fans, he accidentally takes the stage with a different long rifle. Hilarity ensues, but we won’t spoil the fun for ya. Watch the video below. Editors’ Picks The bit is from the latest episode of the police show satire, which airs on the mobile-...
You might want to hold on to your current body for a while: Netflix has cancelled Altered Carbon. Altered Carbon was based on a book by Richard K. Morgan and adapted for television by Laeta Kalogridis. Season 1 starred Joel Kinnaman as Takeshi Kovacs, and in Season 2 the same character was played by Anthony Mackie, with Alison Schapker taking over as showrunner. The series also spawned one anime movie. As Deadline reports, the decision to axe it wasn’t coronavirus related and was made back in April. The cyberpunk epic has fallen victim to Netflix’s notorious standard viewership vs. cost renewal review. Here, the main issue seems to be the cost; as Kinnaman once said, it was “a world that’s got a bigger budget than the first three seasons of Game of Thrones.” Even healthy-sized au...
