Tatiana Maslany Cast as She-Hulk in Marvel’s Disney+ Series

Tatiana Maslany is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Deadline reports she’s been tapped to play the title character in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk. The Orphan Black and, more recently, HBO’s Perry Mason star will headline the series as lawyer-turned-superhero Jennifer Walters. The last major Marvel character created by the legendary Stan Lee, Walters becomes She-Hulk after receiving an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Dr. Bruce “The Hulk” Banner. Unlike Banner, however, Walters retains her intelligence and personality when she turns all green and muscular, even trying cases while fully hulked out. Considering where Banner ended up in Avengers: Endgame, it’s likely the show won’t have much trouble explaining away the difference. Word of Maslany’s casting comes j...

Good news for sci-fi lovers: HBO Max has already decided to renew Ridley Scott’s new apocalyptic drama Raised by Wolves for Season 2, mere weeks after its debut. While the new TV series just launched earlier this month, it’s already taken off as the streaming platform’s top-performing original by far. In today’s announcement, HBO revealed that Raised by Wolves saw an audience growth rate of nearly 50% (!) in its second week alone. In addition to serving as executive producer, Scott directed the first two episodes, marking his first-ever TV show for American audiences. “When I think of Raised by Wolves, I think of artistry; artistry in crafting a compelling storyline, artistry in the out-of-this-world production design, special effects and cinematography, artistry in our actor’s portrayals ...

How Teen Mom 2‘s Chelsea Is Winning Her Years-Long Battle With Anxiety

Chelsea has described her anxiety, which she has suffered from for years, as “debilitating” on Teen Mom 2. And during this week’s episode, the mother of three expressed that her struggle has lessened — thanks in part to several life changes. “When I used to go to meet with Laurie, I would always be so nervous and quiet,” Cheslea told Cole about her business collaboration with Lauriebelles (a local clothing store with online merchandise). “Because I think my anxiety was so bad that I wasn’t ever leaving the house. And then I started doing this, and it got me out and doing things for a reason. I think I needed that.” Another update, which had not yet been disclosed unlike the aforementioned professional venture: Chelsea began treatment. &...

Jim Carrey Cast as Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live

Jim Carrey will portray Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the upcoming 46th season of Saturday Night Live. The casting was revealed by longtime SNL boss Lorne Michaels in an interview with Vulture. Michaels also confirmed that Alec Baldwin and Maya Rudolph will be back as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, respectively. Rudolph is up for an Emmy this year for her portrayal of the now-Democratic vice presidential nominee during the show’s 45th season. Baldwin won one for playing Trump in 2017. According to Michaels, it was actually Carrey who first broached the idea of playing Biden. “There was some interest on his part. And then we responded, obviously, positively,” Michaels said. “But it came down to discussions about what the take was. He and Colin Jost had a bunch...

#BBNaija: Prince turns down Gofundme account

Evicted Prince has rejected a Gofundme account set up by his fans. Like Erica, Nigerians had opened a Gofundme account for the former Housemate to start a salon. But he turned down the campaign, saying he should be the one to bother on how to repay their support. His post reads: “My dear Royal Army, I am overwhelmed and trying to soak in all the love you have been showing me. I’m sincerely speechless because I never expected the love I’m receiving. “This GoFundMe account was brought to my attention last night and I almost tear up by the mere thought and intentions behind it. We are experiencing difficult times now and people still want to do this for me? “No, I think it is time you all rest while I think of what to do to pay you all back for the surreal love. “Sincerely appreciate this ges...

Billie Eilish Guests on Kevin Malone’s Oral History of The Office Podcast: Stream

Earlier this summer, Brian Baumgartner, a.k.a. Kevin Malone, marked the 15th anniversary of The Office by launching a podcast on Spotify. Titled An Oral History of The Office, the 12-episode series is coming to a close today, and its finale features an appropriate send-off from one of the TV show’s biggest fans: Billie Eilish. Our 2019 Artist of the Year has spoken extensively about her love for all things The Office, and was even “quizzed” on Office trivia by Mr. Beets, Bears, and Battlestar Galactica himself, Rainn Wilson. It’s no surprise, then, how giddy Eilish was to appear on An Oral History. “This is crazy!” gushed the pop megastar, who joined Baumgartner and Steve Carell  (Michael Scott) via FaceTime mere days after sweeping the Grammys. In a discussion about it...

Entire Cast of Saturday Night Live to Return for Season 46

NBC’s beloved institution Saturday Night Live was arguably at the top of its game during its last season, sweeping up 15 nominations at the 2020 Emmy Awards. It’s no wonder, then, that they’re not looking to shake anything up soon with Season 46. For the first time in over a decade, Saturday Night Live will kick off the next run with its entire cast returning. Season 46 will premiere on October 3rd via NBC and run through 2021. When it does, the roster will include no new members and SNL will film in its Rockefeller Center studio for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic shuttered production in March. The last time there was no cast turnover between seasons was in 2007, notes The Hollywood Reporter. It’s been a wild ride watching the SNL gang write, rehearse, and shoot new episodes...

Will Teen Mom 2‘s Kailyn Finally Reunite With Her Mother?

Kailyn “completely” cut off her mom Suzi one year ago after documenting several ups and many downs through the Teen Mom 2 years. But during tonight’s episode, the mother of three received a very unexpected phone call from her absent parent. “My mom is calling me,” Kail declared, while she was getting her hair done. “I’m going to have to step out.” But what made Suzi attempting contact even more intriguing was the fact that her mother (Kail’s grandmother) had recently died — and Suzi did not attend the funeral in Texas. And there was also a podcast, which Kail recorded two days prior, with her co-host Lindsie and a psychic medium named Monica. “Does your mom have a drinking problem?” Monica asked, which Kail confirmed. ...

The 16 And Recovering Community Has Lost One Of Its Own

Northshore Recovery High School lost one of its own during tonight’s 16 and Recovering episode: Principal Michelle Lipinski sadly informed her community that Shawn O’Neill, a student at the Massachusetts school, had passed away at age 18. “On the way back from my class that I was teaching, I got a call from Shawn’s mother,” Michelle told Shawn’s classmates and her fellow instructors. “She put him to bed last night, and he was fine. And she went to work this morning thinking he was okay. She realized she was running late for work, so she had her daughter go and wake him up. And he had overdosed.” As the students wept and embraced each other, she announced, “He passed away this morning.” Michelle later reflected on Shawn’s dea...

South Park Announces Hour-Long Pandemic Special

If you were wondering what a couple of smart-mouthed assholes think of 2020, wonder no longer: South Park has announced a new hour-long episode addressing the novel coronavirus. “The Pandemic Special” airs Wednesday, September 30th, at 8 p.m. ET. Season 23 came to an end in December of last year, and “The Pandemic Special” kicks off Season 24. As with each of the hundreds of previous episodes, it will be written, produced, and edited by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. A trailer for the special episode is out now, and while Stan, Kyle, and Kenny are expected to be present, the season opener seems to be driven by the show’s agents of chaos, Randy and Cartman. The trailer finds Randy with a galaxy-brain idea to capitalize on quarantine. He announces his own “Pandemic Special,” which the clip...

Cheer Star Jerry Harris Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Cheer star Jerry Harris is currently under FBI investigation following accusations that he solicited sex and nude photos from minors. The TV personality refutes the claims. As USA Today reported, the FBI executed a search warrant at Harris’ home in Naperville, Illinois on Monday. The agency was tipped off by Harris’ former employer Varsity Brands, a large company heavily involved in various facets of the cheerleading industry. In a letter sent to police officials last month, Varsity said it was made aware of “inappropriate sexual conduct” allegations and felt obligated to report them. It has since terminated Harris’ employment. “As a result of the recent allegation, we have barred this person from having any affiliation with Varsity Brands or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, now...
