Scott Stapp Stars in Short Western Film Deadman’s Trigger with Son Anthony

Scott Stapp Stars in Short Western Film Deadman’s Trigger with Son Anthony

Creed frontman Scott Stapp stars in a short Western film titled Deadman’s Trigger, soundtracked by his solo song of the same name. The 9-minute movie also features Stapp’s son, Anthony, in a supporting role.

In the film, Stapp plays a priest who is forced to go back to his old outlaw cowboy ways to protect his son. The movie, directed by Tyler Dunning Evans, features a classic gun battle, among other dramatic scenes. In addition to son Anthony’s acting role, Scott’s daughter Milan worked as a production assistant on the movie.

“Adapting Scott’s storyline for the screen was easy because he is a narrative songwriter – the arc is already there,” stated Evans. “As a collaborator, he’s clear on his vision and values other creators’ expertise. With Anthony on-set and Milan working behind the scenes, Scott was hands-on in establishing safety measures and his love for his kids translated to a vulnerable but fierce performance in the final cut.”
