Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance has stepped out on his own, releasing his new debut solo single “Dark Horse” under his real name, Zachary Baker.

There’s nothing resembling A7X to be found here, with Baker going full country on the track and showing off his soulful singing voice. He sticks close to the template music-wise as well, keeping with standard stringed instrumentation and twangy Southern inflections. Slip this into rotation on mainstream country radio and nobody would bat an eye.
