Death Cab for Cutie have announced their signing to ANTI- Records following the end of their deal with Atlantic. To mark the occasion, they have also shared news of a 2026 summer tour featuring Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language on select dates.
The trek starts in Minneapolis on July 10th and wraps up in Paso Robles, California on August 7th, with stops in cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, and Philadelphia in between. See the list of full tour dates below.

Fans can get early access through an artist pre-sale (sign up here), which begins on Wednesday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. General on-sale tickets will then be available on Friday, January 30th at the same time.

“One of my favorite parts of being in this band is getting to be out on the road with artists that inspire us. Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language have made some of our favorite albums in recent years and we’re stoked they’ll be joining us this summer,” said frontman Benjamin Gibbard.
Death Cab for Cutie are returning to their independent roots after releasing six albums through Atlantic, including two that went Platinum. A press release promises news will come “soon” about new music.
“We are thrilled to be joining the roster at ANTI- which includes some of our favorite artists, old friends and in many cases, both,” Gibbard said about the signing. “We also can’t wait to begin this new chapter with the wonderful staff at ANTI- and share with you what we’ve been working on.”
Last year, Dua Lipa closed out the US leg of her “Radical Optimism Tour” in Seattle by bringing out Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard for a duet of the track “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.”
