Lady Gaga Covers Mister Rogers Theme for Super Bowl Commercial

Lady Gaga has provided a glimpse of her cover of the iconic Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood theme song, which will debut in a commercial airing during Super Bowl LX.

Parts of Gaga’s breathtaking cover of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” appear in a new teaser for Rocket and Redfin’s upcoming campaign, detailing her process of creating it in the studio. “When I think about ‘Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,’ I think of my earliest memories when I was a kid,” she says to the camera. “I think about how much [Fred Rogers] meant to people.”

“I feel like this needs to be very heartfelt and kind, and warm,” she adds, describing how she’ll sing the song. When the vocals erupt in the latter half of the teaser, Gaga brings warmth and kindness for a fresh rendition that strikingly captures the spirit of the original.

In a statement, Gaga expressed her excitement for performing the cover. “Mister Rogers was, for generations, a heartfelt presence for children and families all over the world,” she said. “I hope you sincerely enjoy this as much as I did, recreating it with fellow musicians and friends Alex Smith and Benjamin Rice.”
