Ultra Music Festival has been a mainstay in Miami for over 25 years, bringing incredible dance music, legendary collaborations, and unmissable moments to electronic fans in South Florida. The 2026 edition just went down, but if you missed the mark on tickets or couldn’t make it down to Miami this year, there’s another Ultra event calling your name — and it might be even more legendary.
Located in Croatia, Ultra Europe has been quietly building one of the continent’s best electronic festivals since its inception in 2013. This year’s festival goes down on July 10th through 12th at Park Mladeži in Split, and the lineup is already one for the ages: Calvin Harris, John Summit, Martin Garrix, Mau P, Dom Dolla, and Fisher lead the initial phase, with more performers set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
If you’re based in the US and have yet to dip your toes into the classic European festival experience, there’s a lot going for Ultra Europe to make it an ideal vacation. Plus, we’ll be giving away a pair of VIP passes to Ultra Europe for a lucky fan and their luckier plus-one. Enter here.

About That Lineup
Let’s start with the most obvious reason to hit full-send on the Ultra Europe experience: the lineup. Just like its sister festival in the US, Ultra Europe has no shortage of marquee names. Calvin Harris is a particularly exciting get, as he’s generally scaled back on how many festivals he headlines in this day and age — so any event that secures him as a headliner is sure to be a blast.
Looking at some of the newer talent, there’s also a few selections that are extremely of-the-moment and will undoubtedly boast some of the most exciting sets of the weekend. American DJ John Summit is having a huge breakout period, with his highly-anticipated sophomore album Ctrl Escape arriving in April. Dutch producer Mau P is similarly having a moment, becoming one of the most sought-after DJs in the circuit. Finally, Australian artist Dom Dolla will continue his victory lap with a massive set at Ultra Europe 2026.
And it doesn’t end there. Currently announced for Phase 1 are performances from Sara Landry, Worship, I Hate Models, and Miss Monique. What’s more is there’s also plenty more to come, as yet another slew of artists will be added to the lineup in phase 2.
A Historic, Gorgeous Locale
Have you heard? Everyone’s been going to Croatia lately. Seriously — as amazing as Greece and Italy are, Croatia has emerged as one of the most frequented vacation locales in Europe over the last decade. Did it have anything to do with the fact that they filmed a significant amount of Game of Thrones in the history-laden capital? Perhaps!
But really, Croatia and the Split coastal region are known for their gorgeous, scenic beaches. In the summers, it’s even more heavenly; the Adriatic Sea is a crystal-clear backdrop for the entire experience. While the main festival is held at Park Mladeži in Split, the city itself is a living museum. You aren’t just staying in a hotel; you’re likely grabbing a pre-festival espresso inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace, a nearly 1,700-year-old Roman ruin that doubles as the city’s vibrant center.
Destination Ultra
Unlike the Miami flagship, which is a three-day sprint, Ultra Europe is often treated as a week-long odyssey. Under the “Destination Ultra Europe” banner, the party migrates from the mainland to the surrounding Dalmatian islands. That journey includes the Regatta, Ultra Beach, Resistance events on the Islands of Brač, Hvar and Vis. The week typically culminates with the Resistance Closing party at Fort George on Vis, an 18th-century fortress offering 360-degree sunset views of the Adriatic that make it one of the most unique venues in the world for techno.
The RESISTANCE Experience
While the Main Stage offers the pyrotechnics and stadium-sized singalongs, the RESISTANCE stage provides a masterclass in underground atmosphere. More than a side stage, it’s a dedicated ecosystem for techno and house purists. Set against the industrial, open-air backdrop of Park Mladeži, the production is designed to be visceral and immersive, often featuring massive, custom-built LED structures. With 2026’s lineup already boasting heavyweights like Sara Landry and I Hate Models, the Resistance stage is where you’ll find the most high-octane energy of the weekend. It serves as a reminder that while Ultra is a global brand, it hasn’t lost its edge, offering a dark, pulsing counterpoint to the Mediterranean sun.
Sunset to Sunrise
As you might expect, Ultra Europe saves the biggest performances for well into the evening. In Split, the music doesn’t even begin to peak until well after midnight, with the gates staying open until 5:00 a.m. There is a genuine sense of camaraderie in the air as thousands of “Ultranauts” watch the sun rise over the Mosor mountain range during the final sets of the night. This schedule allows you to spend your days recovering on the beaches of the Adriatic or exploring the local konobas (traditional taverns) before heading to the grounds. Or, you could pull a “Southern Europe” move and take a siesta each day. Naps are important when you’re partying til dawn!
