NANZUKA To Expand Its Tokyo Footprint With a New Shibuya Gallery This Fall

NANZUKA is set to expand its contemporary art footprint with a new gallery location in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The venue’s custom interior aesthetics and spatial branding were designed by the late Keiichi Tanaami.

The new flagship space is scheduled to officially open to the public on September 12, 2026.

NANZUKA has announced the opening of a new gallery space in Shibuya, Tokyo, expanding its forward-thinking curatorial presence inside one of the city’s most dynamic cultural districts.

The visual identity and overarching interior design of the new venue feature custom spatial designs and branding entirely conceived by the legendary Japanese pop artist Keiichi Tanaami before his passing in 2024. Known for its commitment to bridging the gap between academic contemporary art and peripheral creative disciplines like design, street culture, and illustration, NANZUKA’s newest location serves as a physical monument to Tanaami’s enduring artistic legacy and his long-standing partnership with the gallery.

The new Shibuya flagship is scheduled to officially open its doors to the public this fall, on September 12, 2026. This expansion follows NANZUKA’s successful network of innovative footprints across Tokyo, which includes its main NANZUKA Underground gallery in Harajuku, the 2G retail-gallery hybrid inside Shibuya PARCO and the recently launched immersive art bar, NANZUKA TAKEN, at Shibuya AXSH.
