AG1 Is Bringing a New Wellness Playbook to Football

AG1 is marking its first move into football as the new front-of-shirt partner of Swansea City AFC. Set to bring its branding to the club’s kits as well as stadium ads and digital content, the milestone partnership, which kicks off in the 2026/27 season, points towards a wider shift in what football sponsorship can represent.

For years, the front of a football shirt has been dominated by a familiar rotation of betting, alcohol, and fast-food companies, with their branding becoming embedded in the visual identity of the game. As Premier League clubs collectively remove gambling brands from matchday kits and conversation around Championship partnerships intensifies, wellness has begun appearing in the sport, reshaping how athletes approach nutrition, recovery, and long-term performance.

AG1’s arrival at Swansea City AFC brings that movement into one of football’s biggest commercial spaces. Instead of focusing on what happens around the match, the brand will position itself alongside the daily work behind the scenes. Weighing in on the subject, Snoop Dogg, co-owner of Swansea City AFC, describes the partnership as something that can bring people together through “football, wellness, and that shared commitment to performing at your best.”

Continuing to extend that ambition beyond the pitch, AG1 will be making its products available across Swansea City AFC’s teams. As well as supplying products, it is set to offer nutritional advice to players to support the club’s existing work in sports science, performance data, and player recovery.

The partnership will begin, though, this weekend at Swansea City AFC’s stadium, where the team will step out in its latest kit. Emblazoned with AG1’s logo, the sleek white shirt with pinstriped detail reflects the clean, health-focused ethos that the brand hopes to bring to the Championship.
