Following weeks of teasing, YG Entertainment‘s BLACKPINK has finally delivered its highly-anticipated new single, “Pink Venom.” Racking up over 130 million views with its teaser for the single and surpassing 1.5 million pre-orders for their upcoming sophomore album Born Pink, Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo are continuing to prove why they are a K-Pop super force.
Accompanied by an exhilarating visual, YG notes that the music video saw the highest production cost in the company’s entire history. The visual encapsulates the hip-hop theme of “Pink Venom” that builds on the rhythm of a traditional Korean instrument with a hard-hitting beat, striking rap verses and infectious vocals from the members of BLACKPINK. Playing off of the juxtaposition featured in “Pink Venom,” the music video cuts from dark and beautiful contrasting scenes that evocatively express elements of “Pink” and “Venom”
