During a recent chat with Kerrang!, EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee was asked if the band’s latest single “Yeah Right” was a good indication of the kind of “curveballs” fans can expect from the band’s upcoming album “The Bitter Truth”. She responded: “I think there’s definitely more where that came from… “When making a complete album, especially after all this time, I always want to just put out a statement, like, ‘This is where we’re at, this is who we are’ — it has to be a whole spectrum of emotions and reflections that make up who you are, who the band is,” she continued. “So far, I feel like each song that we put out is a very different colour of the spectrum and there are more colors yet to come...
RATING: 7/10 Even as this year begins to look like an even shittier version of 2020, there are always opportunities to be transported away to more glittering, grandiose and welcoming realms. Aspiring purveyors of a very Italian strain of symphonic power metal, WINTERAGE may yet lack the incisive compositional flair to propel them to the top of the bombastic tree, but “The Inheritance Of Beauty” is an assured and enormously promising effort. The follow-up to 2015’s good-but-not-great “The Harmonic Passage”, this crackles with renewed passion and pomp, as if the Genoa quintet have finally clicked into the gear their earlier music only hinted at. Graced with a strong, if slightly bass-starved production, these songs belong firmly in the niche box marked “sy...
Source: Pool / Getty For the past few years Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has been getting all the slander for brown-nosing Donald Trump every chance he’s given. But conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes took things a step further and referred to Graham as Donald Trump’s personal penile concierge. During an interview on Joy Reid’s The ReidOut on MSNBC, the OG conservative Republican went for Lindsey’s jugular when talking about Graham’s enabling of Trump’s worst impulses and said Lindsey Graham “has been Donald Trump’s fluffer for the last four years.” Knowing the connotation behind the reference, Johnson burst out in laughter while Sykes continued to make his point. So – Charlie Sykes called Lindsey Graham “Donald Trump’s FLUFFER for the last four years.” Peep Jason Johnson’...
