Baby Keem Drops New Songs “hooligan” and “sons & critics freestyle”: Stream

19-year-old rapper/producer Baby Keem has dropped a pair of songs, “hooligan” and “sons & critics freestyle”. Both are expected to appear on an upcoming album, which will be released by pgLang, the new media company created this year by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free. Born Hykeem Carter, this California wunderkind had an almost inexplicably quick rise. The official story, as he explained to Complex in 2018, is that he “sent a pack of beats to the TDE email,” and one of them unexpectedly ended up on Black Panther: The Album. He followed that up with a Beyoncé credit, writing and producing “Nile” with Kendrick Lamar on The Lion King: The Gift. For many people, his mysterious ascension was explained when Lamar’s sister tweeted — and almost immediately deleted — a message to Keem c...

Warner Music CEO Stephen Cooper Discusses the ‘New Era in Music Entertainment’

“Music has gone way beyond singles, albums and videos,” he said during Goldman Sachs’ Communacopia conference, touching on TikTok, gaming, streaming expansion and more. Warner Music Group (WMG) CEO Stephen Cooper discussed the now publicly-traded company’s streaming-fueled growth and future outlook during Goldman Sachs’ virtual Communacopia conference Thursday, envisioning that music’s continued application to social media, fitness, TV and film and other businesses will ring in a “new era in music entertainment.” “Music has gone way beyond singles, albums and videos,” he said. “Subscription streaming is just the beginning.” Specifically, the executive pointed to Peloton, TikTok and video games (including in-game p...

What’s Your Favorite Sam Smith Hot 100 Hit? Vote!

As Sam Smith‘s new “Diamonds” single dazzles in fans’ ears, Billboard wants to know which of their Billboard Hot 100 hits still shines as your favorite. “Stay With Me” remains their highest-charting hit at No. 2, but tracks that tug on listeners’ heartstrings such as 2014’s “I’m Not the Only One” and make one dance the pain away with 2019’s “How Do You Sleep?” have secured the 28-year-old superstar a slew of top 10 slots on the chart. The English singer-songwriter’s work with the EDM duo Disclosure still sizzles on the dance floor with “Latch” and “Omen.” But they created an Olympic gold medal-winning dream team with Demi Lovato earlier this year for “IR...

Tyga Taps In Saweetie & YG to Talk Cash From Their ‘Money Mouf’: Listen

With three days to go before the end of summer, Tyga drops off his summer party banger “Money Mouf,” featuring Saweetie and YG, Friday (Sept. 18) that’ll keep the party going long after the season’s over. He samples “Salt Shaker” by Ying Yang Twins, featuring Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 nearly two decades ago in 2004. But now, the King of “Rack City” pays homage to what he started in the first verse (“What’s up, lil’ bi—? I invented racks (Rack city)”) and shakes his stacked pockets for a club-ready anthem that’ll have anyone’s hips moving in seconds. He extends his invitation to the “Tap In” queen, who shouts out her man Quavo&nbs...

Off The Market: Halle Berry Confirms She And Van Hunt Are Boo’d Up

Source: Prince Williams / Getty One of most beautiful women to ever walk the planet is taken. Halle Berry has put the rumors to rest and makes it clear she chose. As spotted on Page Six the Things We Lost In The Fire star is officially off the market. In June she posted a very romantic photo of her playing footsies with a very lucky, but unidentified, gentleman. The caption obviously pointed to some serious relationship vibes being shared by the two. “Waking up Vegas! ☀️ Thank you for all the beautiful birthday wishes from my friends and my very supportive and loyal fans! You ALL helped to make my birthday extra special ♥️” she wrote. Naturally the visual made fans sprint to a wide array of assumptions about who the mystery man could. Since then she ha...

Footaction Pays Homage To Latino Culture With La Música: A Celebration Through The Lens of Reggaeton

Source: De La Ghetto / Footaction / Foot Locker While many thought Reggaeton music was just a fad when Daddy Yankee exploded onto the scene with “Gasolina” back in the 00’s, the music genre from the island of Puerto Rico has continued to thrive in Latino culture and in the barrio and now Footaction is celebrating it for Hispanic Heritage Month. Source: Arcanel/ Footaction / Foot Locker After launching their No 1 Way design program for HBCU students, Footaction is now rolling out La Música: A celebration through the lens of Reggaeton. Partnering up with the likes of Myke Towers, Brytiago, Arcangel and De La Ghetto, to help bring some Latino heat, the new initiative is set up to help highlight a culture that’s been overlooked by many outside of the barrio and at times demonized by a cer...

MAGA Youth 101: Trump Announces ‘Patriotic Education’ Commission To Combat Education On Racial Equality

Source: Drew Angerer / Getty Donald Trump is proving that his administration is heavy on making America more racist, with the announcement of his new ‘Patriotic Education’ Commission. On Thursday (Sept 17), Trump announced that he would be creating a commission to promote “patriotic education” and adding that a grant program was developed to introduce a “pro-American curriculum.” The move is largely political — and a reaction to a growing push by some academics for schools to teach an American history that better acknowledges slavery and systemic racism. In the speech, Trump denounced racial equality education, labeling it as a “twisted web of lies” being taught in U.S. classrooms about systemic racism in America, before calling it “a form of child abuse,” reprising the themes from a speec...

Justin Bieber And Chance The Rapper Sing A Song Of Praise In ‘Holy’ Video

Justin Bieber‘s new era is here — and he’s taken a job working at an oil plant. At least, that’s the Bieber we see in his folksy new video for “Holy,” a five-minute parable that feels as wholesome as a Hallmark movie. It’s about the trials and hardships of love and life, but not quite in the same way as his 2020 album Changes. Most notably different is the absence of his wife, Hailey, and the fact that the sepia-soaked vision finds Bieber playing a character. No, he’s not playing Drake this time; instead, he’s just a guy trying to keep it all together. As Bieber said on social media ahead of the “Holy” release, he — along with the creative team behind the visual, led by director Colin Tilley — views it not as just a music video, b...

Trixie Mattel’s Twangy Cover, Aquihayaquihay’s Sunny Future, And More Songs We Love

Pop music has a new rising star, and she comes from a pretty impressive pedigree. On her new single “Strangers,” Lulu Simon, daughter of Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, gets breezily bitter about an ex who can’t quite accept that a relationship has met its expiration. Over a stacked production of ’80s synths and electronica pops, Simon’s lyrics read like a diary or a heated string of texts — you know, the unhinged ones you send in quick succession to a friend when you’ve got some feelings and you’ve got to get them out. Considering that her sarcastic yet sweet debut “Wasted” is just as much of a bop, it looks like there’s more where that came from. —Carson Mlnarik You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with gi...
