SILENOZ: Why DIMMU BORGIR Will No Longer Tour For More Than Three Weeks At A Time
During a recent appearance on “Vox&Hops”, the podcast hosted by Matt McGachy, frontman of extreme metal band CRYPTOPSY, DIMMU BORGIR guitarist Sven Atle Kopperud (a.k.a. Silenoz) was asked if his band has changed the way it approaches touring. He responded (see video below): “We obviously have gotten older. Most of us have kids now. It’s not like it was in the early days when we could go on tour seemingly on short notice and plug in and play. Alex Van Halen‘s stage-played complete drum kit, which he used on VAN HALEN 1980 “Invasion” tour, is available for purchase from Reverb.com for $275,000. A portion of proceeds will go to charity. The white Ludwig kit (see video below), which was used on more than 100 shows during the tour in support of VAN HALEN‘s “Women And Children First” album, was previously displayed at Cleveland, Ohio’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum starting around nine years ago. Naya Rivera’s Drowning Sparks Wrongful Death Lawsuit
Naya Rivera’s July 8 death in Lake Piru has sparked a wrongful death lawsuit against Ventura County, Calif., on behalf of her young son, who was on the water with her that day. The suit was filed Tuesday in Ventura County Court on behalf of the 4-year-old by his father Ryan Dorsey, Rivera’s estate and the late actress’ business manager. King Von’s family released an official statement Wednesday (Nov. 18), nearly two weeks after the Chicago-bred drill rapper was fatally shot at an Atlanta nightclub.
