EDDIE VAN HALEN Memorial Ideas Sought By Pasadena

According to the Pasadena Star-News, a memorial honoring legendary VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen was discussed on Monday (October 26) by the City Council in Pasadena, California, where the band was formed nearly five decades ago. City manager Steve Mermell was directed to come up with ideas for how to best honor the musician, who died on October 6 at the age of 65. Among suggestions for the memorial are for alleyway Electric Drive to be renamed for Eddie; erecting a monument somewhere in the city; renaming a park; a life-size statue; and turning his childhood home into a historic landmark. Councilman Victor Gordo suggested that Mermell bring together a public group to figure out for the most appropriate way to remember Van Halen, who attended school in Pasadena with his drummer broth...

Even playing guitar is challenging. But I know God has me in his arms. I really could be a lot worse off so I’m thankful to have breath. “Please lift up my wife. She is carrying a lot now. Rocky Horror Picture Show Cast Will Reunite for Halloween Livestream Benefiting Wisconsin Democrats

There’s a rising star in leftist politics, and we don’t mean the California senator or the representative from the Bronx. No, it’s the talent booker for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, who has already put together cast reunions for Veep, Happy Days, The Princess Bride, and Parks and Recreation. Now, the donkeys in the Dairy State have announced a Halloween night livestream featuring music and actors from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Based on the 1973 musical The Rocky Horror Show, the RHPS film arrived in 1975 as an instant cult-classic. The gender-bending comedy took on new life after theaters in Los Angeles and San Francisco arranged midnight screenings with so-called “shadow casts” — groups of live performers who acted out the movie and encouraged audience participation. Kanye West Prefers the Star Wars Prequels to the Sequels

It’s not easy listening to Kanye West these days. So, you could imagine our surprise when we found ourselves nodding in approval as he discussed, of all things, the Star Wars franchise during a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience. “They said that George Lucas’ prequels are worse than the corporate-made Disney Star Wars,” West digressed. “Like, Revenge of the Sith? We saw how Darth Vader was made! Like, I watched that, like, 10 times during COVID.” He then went on to quote Obi-Wan Kenobi in that film’s climactic battle: “‘Don’t jump Anakin, I’ve got the high ground!’” Naturally, West pivoted to Disney’s recent run of sequels and spinoffs that have all proven polarizing, semi-arguing: “I’m saying even the prequels are better than anything that … And I’m sorry Disney Star Wars desig...

SnowGlobe Music Festival Postponed Due to Impact of COVID-19

The 10th anniversary of SnowGlobe Music Festival has been postponed due to the impact of COVID-19. The unfortunate news should be unsurprising to most due to the country’s rising case counts and the fact that other major festivals have not taken place since March. SnowGlobe representatives took to Twitter to share the update with fans, including a photo of Skrillex from last year’s event in the post. Organizers stated that they consulted with local and state health officials before making the decision to hold off on this year’s event. They also note that the safety of attendees, staff, and performers was the deciding factor, and thanked all those who supported the fest over the years. Snowglobe Music Festival will now take place December 29th to 31st, 2021 in South L...

Martin Garrix Confirms 2021 Return of AREA21

In a recent interview shared by Festival Season, Martin Garrix revealed the impending return of his side project, AREA21. Garrix unveiled AREA21 back in 2016, when he joined forces with prolific record producer and singer-songwriter Maejor to reveal the duo’s debut single “Spaceships.” The track was markedly less heavy than his popular big room house flair at the time, blending future bass and hip-hop sounds under a melodic umbrella. Ever since, AREA21 releases have been intermittent, with the latest, “HELP,” arriving in March 2019. In the new interview, Garrix revealed that he and Maejor have recorded enough new material to drop a full album. He also offered up a few hints as to what fans can expect when the new music drops in March 2021. “The...
