VICIOUS RUMORS Release Music Video For ‘Celebration Decay’ Title Track

Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers VICIOUS RUMORS have released the official music video for the title track of their new album, “Celebration Decay”. The disc was made available on August 21 via SPV/Steamhammer. Every new album has its own history, and the latest recording by VICIOUS RUMORS has a pretty unusual one at that. Originally, the band had planned only twenty concerts to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1988 classic “Digital Dictator”. “The reactions were so enthusiastic that the twenty shows turned into an amazing 108 gigs in the end,” remembers band mastermind Geoff Thorpe, still a little awed. “We really hadn’t expected that. Of course, this jumbled the original time schedule for our current album a little.” The...

Cardi B Joins Brazilian Artist Anitta on New Single “Me Gusta”: Stream

It’s been less than a month since Cardi B successfully sent politicians, conservatives, and sexists into a tizzy with her massive Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “WAP”. But already the New York rapper is back with another joint single sure to get people talking again: “Me Gusta” with Brazilian pop singer Anitta and Puerto Rican rapper Myke Towers. “I really love this song,” Cardi B gushed on Twitter earlier this week. “I don’t get on a song the same day I hear it. Like, I gotta listen to it a couple of times. But as soon as I heard the song, at the end of the night, while I was going to sleep, I kept repeating the hook in my head,” she said, adding, “You guys know how I love Spanish music, you guys know how I love Brazilian funk, and I’m just really excited.” Check out “Me Gusta” below v...

Bruno Mars Produces J-Pop Group ARASHI’s New Song “Whenever You Call”: Stream

By now, K-pop has proven its long-term appeal with American audiences, and J-pop is eager to do the same. Japanese fans have been soaking up the joy of their country’s own original pop music for decades now. Now, Western audiences can join in the fun thanks to ARASHI, one of the country’s most legendary J-pop groups, who have just released a new song produced by Bruno Mars called “Whenever You Call”. ARASHI have been dominating the J-pop scene for over two decades, and it’s easy to understand why when listening to “Whenever You Call”. It’s the exact type of slick ’80s throwback that’s meant to win over hearts, complete with dramatic crooning choruses. Most notably, though, “Whenever You Call” marks the band’s first-ever track sung entirely in English. Originally, ARASHI planned on flying t...

Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper Get Religious on New Song “Holy”: Stream

When he’s not hosting illegal, maskless birthday parties, Justin Bieber spends his days attending church and practicing Christianity. While he’s gone on the record to say he doesn’t consider himself “religious” per say, the pop star appears comfortable acknowledging his faith in song now — or at least that’s the case with “Holy”, his new collaboration with Chance the Rapper. Bieber teased the track throughout this week by promising fans it was the start of a “new era.” Sure enough, it features the usual bass-forward momentum of a pop song, but it’s guided by something completely fresh for Bieber: a gospel choir literally praising god. It’s anthemic and inspiring, the exact type of track that’s meant to be blasted full volume to get others to sing along. “Holy” also comes with a short film-...

This Virtual Festival Will Feature a Snoop Dogg DJ Set and a Live Palm Reading by T-Pain

In the dawn of virtual music festivals, it seems as if a new livestream sprouts from the rotted roots of the pandemic-stricken live music industry every day. From small-scale DJ sets to massive, full-fledged digital music festivals, livestreamed concerts have proven their place in the contemporary music landscape, and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Another virtual music fest called Abracadabra Festival has now risen from the ashes of the COVID-19 wreckage. The new four-day streaming event, which doubles as an environmental fundraiser, shared its lineup today ahead of its kickoff at 6:30PM ET (3:30PM PT). Joining Diplo and Tycho at the top of the flier is none other than Snoop Dogg, who is DJing as “DJ Snoopadelic.” Snoop made his DJ debut back in 2018 ...
