While many of us were learning to bake sourdough during quarantine, the actors Zendaya and John David Washington filmed a whole movie — and in secret, no less. In July, Deadline broke the news that the two would star in the forthcoming romantic drama, Malcolm & Marie, written and directed by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, a project that came to life when production for the colorful HBO series was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the highly anticipated black-and-white film is headed for (computer) screens everywhere, after Netflix acquired the film at the Toronto International Film Festival marketplace, beating out HBO, Amazon, Apple, Focus Features, and more. The streaming giant paid an astounding $30 million, reportedly off promo alone. Come through, fa...

Kygo has announced that he will be releasing a remix of the late Donna Summer‘s legendary 1979 song, “Hot Stuff.” He shared a video teasing the new rework across his social media pages, offering fans a taste of what’s to come. In addition to the remix, Kygo has a new music video on the way featuring two of the stars from the Netflix series Outer Banks, Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes. In the short clip, you can see what appears to be a nostalgic love story set in the era that Summer helped to soundtrack. Kygo’s latest remix follows his trend of paying homage to some of dance music’s most inspiring figures. In 2019, he released a posthumous collaboration with Whitney Houston, “Higher Love,” while 2020 saw him take on Tina Turner&...

All hail the two new reigning queens of the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, as Dua Lipa and The Blessed Madonna’s Club Future Nostalgia debuted at No. 1 here last week, bumping Lady Gaga’s Chromatica to the No. 2 spot. Disclosure’s third LP, Energy, also debuted on the chart last week, landing at No. 3. Meanwhile, Gorillaz’ D-Sides re-entered at No. 4. With all of this moving and shaking, we want to know your favorite album in the chart’s top 10. Let us know by voting ...
Ever since Taylor Swift gifted Katy Perry‘s newborn daughter Daisy Bloom with a hand-embroidered blankie, Billboard wants to know which artist you’d love to receive a special baby gift from. Perry also received an all-white flower bouquet from Beyoncé as a welcome gift to the New Mom Club, which would make for a rather beautiful tradition to celebrate other incoming mothers. Offset gave his and Cardi B’s 2-year-old daughter Kulture a $8,000 Hermès Birkin bag for her birthday in July, so maybe he has some extras to dole out. So which generous star would you want to bless your baby with a special present? Vote below! You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. Lindsay Lohan, it appears, is a Swiftie. The actress took to Twitter over the weekend to share a cryptic tweet tagging Taylor Swift…with no message. Fans as expected, were left puzzled and frenzied trying to come up with what the context of this tweet could possibly be. Some thought Lohan is simply a fan who would like to be noticed, pointing out her comments on one of Swift’s Instagram Lives last summer. Others thought the tweet could be surrounding buzz over the Swift-approved hype for a film adaptation of folklore cut, “The Last Great American Dynasty.” “I KNOW TLGAD IS COMING WITH A MV STARRING VARIOUS HOLLYWOOD ACTORS THE COLLAPSEEEE WILL BE HARDER THAN WHAT BAD BLOOD CAUSED OMFG,” one fan theorized. See some responses below. lindsay is a swift...

SEVENDUST singer Lajon Witherspoon has been admitted to the emergency room after he cut himself with a knife. Lajon took to his Instagram earlier today (Monday, September 14) to share a photo of him at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, and he included the following message: “Accidents do happen can’t believe I’m the ER thanks everyone at saint lukes. Haven’t been in a emergency room since 1975. Cut my finger with a Swiss Army knife. stitches and all”. Witherspoon‘s injury comes less than two weeks after SEVENDUST announced its first-ever livestream and its only show of 2020: “Sevendust: Live In Your Living Room”. The event will take place on October 23 — the release date of the band’s 13th studio album, “Blood & Ston...
RATING: 8/10 There are insufficient hours in the day to immerse oneself in all of the fantastic death metal being released this year, but CARNATION‘s second album immediately stands out as a superior creation. 2018’s “Chapel Of Abhorrence” was a solid introduction to the Belgians’ rampant mix of old-school hooks and infernal churn, but this outstrips it by some margin. The key to CARNATION‘s potency lies in their gloriously naturalistic blending of deathly sub-strains. Opener “Iron Discipline” erupts with the belligerent, war-hungry intensity of prime VADER. There are insidious ripples of blackened dissonance woven through the riffs, and a thuggishness to the delivery that owes a significant debt to the ugly end of the early ’90s Americ...
