Back in March, Rudimental dropped back-to-back singles, “Easy On Me” with The Martinez Brothers and “Krazy” featuring Afronaut Zu. This quick succession of releases stirred up the conversation around their fourth studio album, which is confirmed but currently has no release date. Five months later, they have returned with their latest single “Come Over” featuring Anne-Marie and Tion Wayne. “Come Over” cultivates a summertime feel with a magnificently infectious beat and two excellent features. Rudimental dive deep into their roots on this one, cooking up a UK garage track that Anne-Marie’s radio-ready vocals and Tion Wayne’s immaculate chops fit effortlessly into. The crisp percussion, soulful horns, and ...
Kerry King‘s wife says that there will never be a SLAYER reunion. Ayesha King shot down the possibility of her husband and Tom Araya sharing the stage ever again under the SLAYER banner while responding to a fan on Instagram. After Ayesha shared three photos of Kerry holding their cat in slideshow-type Instagram post, a fan wrote: “No Tom, No SLAYER Kerry. Stop thinking SLAYER without @tomarayaofficial”. Ayesha then replied: “don’t worry, they’ll never be SLAYER again! You can rest easy”. Earlier this week, SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph confimed that he is involved in a brand new project headed up by Kerry King. The duo has spent the last few months working on music with the hopes of recording it properly once the coronavirus pandemic has subsided. B...
Despite the fact that it’s been nearly three years since he announced his latest farewell tour — dubbed “No More Tours 2” — Ozzy Osbourne continues to insist that he is not calling it quits. The legendary heavy metal singer tells U.K.’s Mirror: “You know the time when I will retire? When I can hear them nail a lid on my box. And then I’ll fucking do an encore. I’m the Prince Of Darkness.” He adds: “When you feel that audience jumping, it’s a better feeling than orgasm. It is the best love affair of my life. “The party is on, man. I feel honored people still want to see me.” “No More Tours 2” is a reference to Ozzy‘s 1992 “No More Tours” trek, which marked the first time the singer announce...
Alternative rock band CANDLEBOX has released a brand new song titled “Let Me Down Easy” via Pavement Entertainment. This is the first glimpse of new material since CANDLEBOX‘s 2016 critically acclaimed album “Disappearing In Airports”, which delivered the chart-topping single, “Vexatious”, and found the band touring for over two years in support of the release. Lead singer Kevin Martin reflects on the message of the song, saying: “We’re all sinners. Ain’t a saint amongst us, and you can only hope that when your time comes it’s not a struggle, that maybe you might be lucky enough to be forgiven for your sins and allowed into the gates of heaven because you are aware — that is… if that’s what you believe in.” The t...
The four members of METALLICA took part in a SiriusXM “Town Hall” Thursday night (August 27) via Zoom from their respective homes. Asked how he has been spending his coronavirus downtime, frontman James Hetfield said: “For me, and I don’t wanna sound ungrateful, ’cause I know there’s a lot of people out there that are struggling because of this COVID… Where I live, it’s all service industry. And, obviously, the music industry, it’s tough — it’s taken a big hit. For us, we’re road dogs — we’ve been out on the road forever — so you’re either on the road or you’re writing. So the obvious thing is, ‘Well, we’re not on the road. Start writing.’ So, [I’ve written] tons of material. And I’m...

Add Leonard Cohen’s estate to the growing number of musicians and musician estates to rebuke the Trump campaign for playing their music without authorization. On Thursday night after President Donald Trump’s speech to conclude the Republican National Convention, Tori Kelly’s version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” from the Sing soundtrack blared in the background and it was also performed later in the night by opera singer Christopher Macchio. Cohen’s Estate were not pleased, saying they denied the RNC’s permission to use the song and are “exploring their legal options.” “We are surprised and dismayed that the RNC would proceed knowing that the Cohen Estate had specifically declined the RNC’s use request, and their rather brazen attempt to politicize and exploit in such an egregious m...

Source: Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / Getty Though rap stars are known to ball out of control and make it rain like El Nino out chea, not many of them go out and spoil that one lucky woman in their lives, but Ty Dolla $ign seems to be an exception to that rule. The Argentine Singer released Una Niña Inutil today Rising trap artist Cazzu is in her home in Argentina, surrounded by her paintings and three cats: Mu, Elvira and Gary, a black-and-white kitty who likes to leap on her lap unannounced. Her hair is dyed red, a color that –coincidentally—matches the color scheme of the cover art of her new album, Una Niña Inútil (Useless Girl), which shows her wearing a checkered red schoolgirl skirt, with roses and masking tape covering her breasts. The album title and its contents were inspired by Diario de una niña inútil (Diary of a Useless Girl), a “diary” penned 100 years ago by Argentine feminist poet Alfonsina Storni in a subversive effort to defy the norms that dictated what women could write at the time. Cazzu, who at 26 years old has ...
