Brytiago Drops Mysterious & Seductive ‘Condena’ Video Featuring Farruko: Exclusive

After keeping fans intrigued with the mesmerizing instrumental for “Condena,” Brytiago and Farruko officially dropped the full track and video, premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Aug. 20). Produced by Cromo X and Lanalizer, “Condena” forms part of Bry’s debut studio album Organico, a project that was long overdue for loyal fans and is home to 16 songs including the previously-released “Cositas,” “Te Falle” and “Borracho,” to name a few. To the beat of sultry R&B melodies, “Condena,” which translates to a prison sentence, narrates the story of a man who wants to spend time with his love interest one last time, in case tomorrow’s not guaranteed. “Don’t forget about me the day I’m not here,” the artists chant. The mysterious cinematographic video, directed by Abez Medina with prod...

This Man Was Being Catfish-ed By His Very Own Sister

Best friends, exes, scorned cousins: Catfish come in all shapes and sizes, but the show’s latest adventure got creepily close to the family tree and made even Cruel Intentions look tame. It all started with a man named Dre, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana whom Nev and Kamie met through a Zoom call. Dre, described by his brother as a “born flirt,” had been talking to a makeup artist named Casey through Instagram and loved that she was attentive and confident. The big problem? Casey wouldn’t call or video chat and once implied she needed money to fix her phone. The bigger problem? Dre had a girlfriend of six years, with whom he had a daughter. In an ideal world, Dre said, he, his girlfriend Rebecca and Casey could exist in a relationship together, but Kamie pointed out that such a thing wa...

Keke Palmer Celebrates True Jackson’s Influence On An Entire Generation

Earlier this month, when Keke Palmer announced she’d be hosting the 2020 VMAs, she recruited her beloved Nickelodeon character True Jackson for the occasion, recording a video call between the two where they celebrate Palmer’s new gig and make plans to glam her up appropriately for the occasion. It was a nice resurrection for True, even in an era marked by reboots, where no character stays retired for too long. But Palmer tells MTV News the moment had added significance for a generation of fans who grew up viewing young mogul True as a role model. “As I’ve gotten older, I didn’t realize how much of an influence that character had on young Black women, young millennials, young kids, just everybody, because it’s like, yo, this is a young person living thei...

COREY TAYLOR Says It Broke His Heart When His Record Company Blocked Him From Singing On ANTHRAX Album

Corey Taylor has once again said that his record company stopped him from singing with ANTHRAX when the opportunity for him to work with the band presented itself more than a decade ago. The SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman had harbored hopes of replacing Joey Belladonna for the follow-up to “We’ve Come For You All”, recorded with John Bush in 2003. “It was something that really we hadn’t talked about too much at length,” Corey said during a August 12 appearance on SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation Virtual Invasion” (see video below). “It was just something that we had talked about doing just ostensibly as a one-off, but we were just gonna kind of see what could happen. “That actually started as an idea because of an acoustic gig tha...

OZZY OSBOURNE Is Not A Fan Of Face Tattoos: ‘It Makes You Look Dirty’

Ozzy Osbourne has weighed in on the latest celebrity trend: face tattoos. While notable figures like Mike Tyson and Tekashi 6ix9ine have sported face tats in the past, recent months have seen more stars than ever tatting their cheeks and foreheads, including MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee, rapper Post Malone and model Amber Rose. Speaking on his Ozzy’s Boneyard SiriusXM channel, Ozzy said about the prospect of getting a face tattoo: “I would never do that. “Anything above the collar should be stopped. To be honest, it makes you look dirty.” The 72-year-old BLACK SABBATH singer went on to admit he hasn’t been able to handle tattoo pain as well as he used to. “They reckon that as you get older, it hurts more,” he said. “When I started getting th...

New TALAS Studio Album Is Almost Done, Says BILLY SHEEHAN

Billy Sheehan spoke to the “Rock N Roll Experience With Mike Brunn” about the progress of the recording sessions for the new studio album from TALAS, the 1970s upstate New York band which initially earned its name while performing gigs in the Buffalo and Rochester scenes. Although TALAS started out by playing covers, it eventually introduced originals to its setlist. “We’ve got most everything done,” Billy said (see video below). “Unfortunately, the virus thing is ruining everything. Fortunately, we got together and did all the drums. We were all in the same room, so we were really locked in. Now we just have to do vocals. We’ve got some new software that enables me to have the singer in Toronto, Phil Naro, and I can hear him in real time on my com...

Erasure on New LP The Neon, Why They’re Not Planning Virtual Concerts

Despite the uncertainty of the pandemic, Erasure’s Andy Bell and Vince Clarke are calm and assured ahead of their 18th LP. Even if fans can’t mash to “Hey Now (Think I’ve Got a Feeling”) or fist pump to “No Point in Tripping” at one of the duo’s flamboyant concerts, the band have no qualms about The Neon falling on deaf ears. Erasure started work on the album after wrapping their World Be Gone tour in 2018. Clarke, already spending every day at his home studios in Brooklyn or Maine, quickly pulled together music for Bell to begin writing lyrics. Jumping from song to song in what Bell describes as “auto-writing,” they wound up with “whatever [came] out” — an approach exemplified on the abstract “Diamond Lies.” They shifted locations multiple times, from Clarke’s base in New York to Bell’s h...

Manchester Arena Bomber’s Brother Sentenced to 55 Years in Jail

The brother of the Manchester Arena suicide bomber was sentenced to a minimum of 55 years of jail time for the murder of 22 people on Thursday (Aug. 20), according to the Guardian. Hashem Abedi, 23, helped his older brother Salman Abedi plan the terror attack during an Ariana Grande concert on May 22, 2017. Not only did it take the lives of 22 people and the bomber himself but also injured 100 others. Abedi refused to appear in the London courtroom and stayed in his cell during sentencing.  Justice Jeremy Barker said that if he, like his older brother, had been 21 or older at the time, it would have been a life sentence. “Although Salman Abedi was directly responsible, it was clear the defendant took an integral part in the planning,” Barker said. He continued, “The defendant and his ...
