The seminal dance music project began in the late ’80s, when Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson linked with singer Paris Grey for the 1989 debut Inner City album, Paradise. That LP generated a pair of all-time genre classics in “Good Life” and “Big Fun,” with the latter track hitting No. 1 on Billboard‘s Dance/Club Songs chart in the fall of 1988.
