Socially Distanced Festival to Take Place in Northern Ireland in August
The organizers behind Northern Ireland’s Stendhal Festival have announced plans to host an impending socially distanced music festival called “Unlocked.” Billed as “the first of its kind in the history of Northern Ireland,” the fest is scheduled to occur over the course of two weekends at Ballymully Cottage Farm in Limavady from August 21st to 22nd and August 28th to 29th, respectively. Amazon Prime Video is opening the Vault on a new TV series based on the hit Fallout video game franchise. The project is being spearheaded by Westworld co-creators/executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy as part of their overall deal with Amazon Studios. Originating from a turn-based role-playing game in 1997, the Fallout series has stretched eight games over the course of two decades, as well as the mobile game Fallout Shelter. Pandemic pending, the NFL is set to kick off its 2020-2021 season on September 10th. In a show of solidarity with its Black players, “Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing”, a.k.a. the Black national anthem, will be performed live or played prior to every week one game, according to ESPN. “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” features lyrics written by James Weldon Johnson and music by J. Rosamond Johnson. It was first performed as part of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday celebration in 1900, and was named “the Negro national hymn” by the NAACP in 1919. Sepultura Announce Rescheduled North American Tour Dates
Sepultura have officially rescheduled their upcoming North American tour for 2021 after postponing the spring outing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Brazilian thrash metallers will kick off their 2021 run on March 6th at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, California, and stay on the road through an April 10th date at UC Theatre in Berkeley, California.
