Today (Jun.22) Square Enix announced that the highly-anticipated Marvel’s Avengers game will be available on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X as free upgrades when both consoles launch holiday 2020. Players who happen to own either digital or physical copies of the game on current-generation consoles will be able to upgrade on Xbox Series X using Microsoft’s Smart Delivery system, and PS5’s yet to be named upgrade program. Zeds Dead took to Twitter today to drop an absolute bomb of a Monday morning announcement, sharing the official artwork for their forthcoming collaborative remix of Atmosphere‘s “GodLovesUgly” with Subtronics. Sending their fans into a fever pitch, the Canadian duo also announced that the tune is officially dropping tomorrow. The news arrives after both artists teased the remix in numerous live sets. Subtronics initially debuted the track at famed Los Angeles concert venue Hollywood Palladium in early 2020, and Zeds Dead followed suit by dropping it in their rip-roaring EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon set in mid-May. Native Instruments Responds to Allegations of Systemic Racism Within the Company
Following allegations of systemic racism within the organization, music hardware and software developer Native Instruments has publicly responded. The accusations, which initially appeared on LinkedIn, spawned a deluge of calls for the company to take action from many music industry professionals and artists. Comedy Central Pulls Workaholics Episode Featuring Chris D’Elia Playing a Child Molester
Comedy Central has pulled a Workaholics episode featuring the disgraced comic Chris D’Elia from the show’s library on Hulu, Amazon Prime, and the network’s own website and streaming app, as Slashfilm reports. The episode in question is “To Friend a Predator” from the debut season of Workaholics which originally aired on May 25th, 2011. In the episode, D’Elia plays a character named Topher, an alleged child molester that lurks a Justin Bieber fansite. Clearly, not a good look for the network given the recent allegations made against D’Elia.
