Science SARU and Production I.G. officially announced the development of a brand new Ghost in the Shell anime.Gizmodo reports that the forthcoming series currently has a working title of The Ghost in the Shell with a premiere year of 2026. The show will mark the first anime entry in the long-running franchise since 2020's Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, which took place in the franchise's Stand Alone Complex universe.
