PJ Harvey has announced a new box set collecting music from her back catalog. B-Sides, Demos, and Rarities is due out November 4 via Island Records/Universal Music Group. The release will be available in 6xLP, 3xCD, and digital formats, and includes 59 songs spanning Harvey’s three-decade career. The box set features previously-unreleased songs, alternate versions of preexisting songs, and other material that has been previously unavailable in physical formats or on streaming services. Today, Sim has released the long-awaited LP, entitled Hideous Bastard, a raw exploration of shame, trauma, fear, masculinity and sexuality. On the record’s lead single “Hideous,” Sim considers his HIV-positive status and how it’s shaped his perception of himself. “Radical honesty might set me free, if it makes me hideous,” he croons. “Been living with HIV since seventeen / Am I hideous?” The track features the album’s sole guest artist, Scottish pop singer and gay rights activist Jimmy Sommerville. Yeat has dropped off a new 12-track EP, titled LYFË, featuring support from Lil Uzi Vert on its opening track, “Flawlëss.” LYFË arrives as the follow-up to Yeat’s 2 Alivë, which was released in February of this year.
