Take a First Look at Chris Hemsworth In ‘Mad Max’ Prequel ‘Furiosa’
After being confirmed to portray the main villain in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa back in March, fans of the franchise can finally take a first look at Chris Hemsworth‘s character thanks to new set images that have surfaced. As you can see below, the Thor actor takes on a very different look from the roles he’s portrayed so far, with long gray hair running down over his shoulders as well as a large beard on his face. ‘Umbrella Academy’ Creator Is Adapting Action RPG ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ Into a TV Series
While Umbrella Academy just announced its fourth and final season, the show’s creator Steven Blackman, already has a new project in the works. Blackman will be adapting the action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn into a series for Netflix. Launched in 2017 from Guerilla Games and Sony, Horizon Zero Dawn follows a hunter named Aloy on her journey to discover more about her past in a world that’s been overrun by machine creatures. Netflix’s White Noise Adaptation to Feature New LCD Soundsystem Song
Netflix’s upcoming film adaptation of Don DeLillo’s classic 1985 novel White Noise will include the first new original song in five years from LCD Soundsystem, according to Variety. The track is called “New Body Rhumba” and will be released as a single later this year. SPIN can also reveal that the James Murphy-led group will resume its annual residency at New York’s Brooklyn Steel in December, with dates to be announced. Neal Casal Music Foundation Establishes Mental Health Fellowship
The Neal Casal Music Foundation has established a fellowship in the name of the late musician, who died by suicide three years ago today (Aug. 26) at the age of 50. The program will enable one person to work in a paid capacity with mental health non-profit Backline amid its efforts to provide resources to members of the music industry and their families. In a statement, the Foundation says “The Neal Casal Fellow will support Backline’s long-term clinical strategy, working alongside Backline’s Clinical Director and key partners to build programming to support the real-time needs of the music industry.” Applications are available here.
