Madonna and Beyoncé have teamed up for the aptly titled, “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix).” As the first single from Renaissance, “Break My Soul” introduced us to Beyoncé’s new disco-influenced, club-ready era. Judith Durham, Australia’s folk music icon who achieved global fame as the lead singer of The Seekers, has died. She was 79. Durham died in Alfred Hospital in Melbourne on Friday night (Aug. 5) after suffering complications from a long-standing lung disease, Universal Music Australia and Musicoast said in a statement on Saturday. She made her first recording at 19 and rose to fame after joining The Seekers in 1963. Stockton, California rapper Young Slo-Be has died, the rapper’s project manager at Thizzler on the Roof confirmed to Pitchfork. According to CBS News, Slo-Be was involved in a shooting in Manteca, California and was found dead Friday morning (August 5). “Our whole team mourns him and are shaken to think of the loss of his massive potential to this senseless act of violence,” Slo-Be’s project manager told Pitchfork. According to local news outlets, the rising Stockton rapper (real name Disean Victor) was the victim of a shooting on Friday and found dead in an apartment on Trevino Avenue in Manteca, CA.
