A24 is officially expanding the X universe with a new prequel to the horror lineup. The production studio has reunited director Ti West with Mia Goth with the debut of its new trailer for Pearl. Mia Goth returns as a part of the lead cast along with David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, and Emma Jenkins-Purro for the prequel. Those followed the development of X might remember that the production of Pearl occurred at the same time as X. Following X, filming of Pearl took place secretly and immediately with both films made back-to-back in New Zealand. The Weeknd is teaming up with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to create two haunted houses inspired by his 2020 album After Hours, as Entertainment Weekly notes. “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” will open at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in September.
