Swedish House Mafia has canceled five more shows on its upcoming 2022 Paradise Again arena tour on Friday (July 22). The newly canceled shows include July 31 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Aug. 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, Aug. 9 at TD Garden in Boston, Aug. 11 at Verizon Arena Washington D.C. and Aug. 17 in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena. Many arena acts are facing sluggish ticket sales, especially at the arena level where a number of first-time tours are playing to half-empty houses. Ohana Festival’s ‘Encore Weekend’ Canceled
The Ohana Festival‘s “Encore Weekend,” with Oct. 8-9 performances from festival co-founder Eddie Vedder, The Black Keys, Alanis Morissette, and many more, has been canceled. The event was planned as an extension of Ohana’s originally announced dates the prior weekend at Doheny Beach State Park in Dana Point, Calif., which is still moving forward. “Encore Weekend” ticket-holders received an email from Front Gate Tickets informing them that the event had been canceled “due to circumstances beyond our control” and that automatic refunds would be processed within seven to 10 days. A hiccup on the second date of Rob Zombie’s co-headlining US tour with Mudvayne led to a fun onstage moment on Thursday night (July 21st) in Noblesville, Indiana. After a truck fire forced the cancellation of sets by opening acts Static-X and Powerman 5000, Zombie invited both bands to join him onstage for performances of White Zombie’s “Thunder Kiss ’65” and the Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.” A truck carrying lighting and sound equipment for the show caught fire and broke down on the way to the venue.
