Gloria Onyinyechi Nkemka popularly known as GLIGHT (God’s Light) is out with a new sound titled I’M FORGIVEN produced by Abuja based legendary Producer Soji Adesola. Minister GLight is a worshipper and a messenger of Jesus taking the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth, like she always say, Shining His Light to the ends of the Earth through Gospel music and the word of God. Matthew 5:14–16 Minister GLight got inspired by the holy spirit to write this song of forgiveness as she meditated on the word of God in Hebrew 8:12 NLT. “And I will forgive their wrongdoings, and I will never again remember their sins.” Jesus is the only one that truly forgives and makes you a brand new person, come!!! Over the past decade, Tayla Parx’s work as both a solo artist and a hitmaking songwriter for the likes of Ariana Grande and BTS has earned her the right to demand recognition. That’s the concept of her new single, “Flowers,” out today, June 29th, via her own TaylaMade Records. The uptempo track is brimming with confidence and demonstrates Parx’s talent for simple, yet effective pop songwriting. “I go Aretha when I get my respect,” she pronounces. “So if you’re coming for me, know you better come correct/ I’m big on promises, it’s never a threat.” “‘Flowers’ is about living your life in the present and showing your loved ones, including YOURSELF, how much they mean to you in the now instead of waiting until it’s too late,” said Parx in a statement. “Flowers represent life and living, and th...
LUCI has signed to Don’t Sleep Records and unveiled her debut single, “Ash & Dust,” a wildly original statement that points towards the future of hip-hop. The artist born Lucianna Ania is a trip-hop veteran, and as part of the now-defunct band Defbeat she was influenced by groups like Death Grips and Massive Attack. But if “Ash & Dust” is any indication, her solo project will vibe check everything from punk and gospel to Kanye West. The track opens with waves of dark synths before stripping back to layers of skittering percussion. Her words are about transformation, but her delivery is somewhere between a rap and a howl, with occasional yips and warbles that suggest being demolished and reborn is even less pleasant than you might imagine. During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (June 28th), actor Steve Carell recalled the time he waited on his look-alike, rocker Alice Cooper. In the same conversation, Carell also offered up a hilarious impression of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler. While Carell was on the Tonight Show to promote his new movie Minions: The Rise of Gru, Fallon busted out side-by-side images of The Office star and the veteran shock rocker, clearly displaying the uncanny resemblance. The late-night host wondered if Carell ever met the rock legend, and it turns out he did. “I met Alice Cooper,” responded Carell. “I waited on him when I was working in Chicago, when I was waiting tables. I was working at a restaurant, and he came in. And he was Alice Cooper. And he could...
