DistroKid Unveils Bundled Music Video Distribution Service for Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Vevo

DistroKid has launched DistroVid, a first-of-its-kind service distributing music videos to Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Vevo for a bundled price of $99 a year. Video uploads are unlimited, and artists receive all of their earnings, according to the press release.  More video hosting platforms, including YouTube, are expected to follow soon in a second wave of partner announcements, a DistroKid spokesperson says. Representatives for Vevo and Tidal said the new service would help streamline video distribution for independent artists. Find more information on the DistroVid website. Kacey Musgraves Teams Up With Fancy Hagood for New Song “Blue Dream Baby”

Kacey Musgraves has joined forces with queer Southern pop artist Fancy Hagood for the latter’s new song “Blue Dream Baby.” The single arrives in celebration of International Pride Day (June 28). Billie Eilish and Finneas have both been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, according to a press release from the organization. They’re part of a nearly 400-strong group invited to join the Academy this year, along with Ariana DuBose, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Troy Kotsur. Eilish and Finneas won a Best Original Song Oscar this year for their “No Time to Die,” the theme for the James Bond film installment of the same name. Depeche Mode Reveal Founding Member Andy Fletcher’s Cause of Death

Amid the continued outpour of support over the passing of Depeche Mode keyboard player and founding member Andy Fletcher, the legendary electronic music band have shared an update on his sudden death. Fletcher was 60 at the time of his death. “A couple weeks ago we received the result from the medical examiners, which Andy’s family asked us to share with you now,” Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan and Martin Gore said in a joint statement shared via the band’s Instagram account. “Andy suffered an aortic dissection while at home on May 26.
