Beyoncé has officially shared the lead single of RENAISSANCE, entitled “Break My Soul.” Clocking in at just over four-and-a-half minutes, the cut features production work Tricky Stewart, Terius Nash and Bey herself. The upbeat, summer-ready cut fuses sonic hints of music from the islands as Beyoncé sings of finding new love and life — feeling free with the anthem as she sings “Bey is back and I’m sleeping real good at night.” RENAISSANCE will mark Beyoncé’s first full-length album since 2016’s award-winning Lemonade. TIDAL — owned by her husband JAY-Z — confirmed in a surprise announcement that the upcoming record is set to release on July 29, while the album’s Apple Music page revealed a total of 16 tracks. Woody Harrelson believes Jack Harlow‘s White Men Can’t Jump reboot will be better than his original version with Wesley Snipes. Speaking to Yahoo!, the actor — who played Billy Hoyle in the 1992 film — publicly voiced his confidence in the reboot and Harlow’s acting chops. “I feel great,” he said. “I think Jack’s probably gonna crush it. They’re gonna make a better movie than we made. I’m looking forward to watching it.” Ron Shelton’s 1992 sports comedy saw Harrelson and Snipes portray Hoyle and Sidney “Syd” Deane, two basketball hustlers who team up to become a street team tournament duo. Harlow will be taking on Harrelson’s role while Sinqua Walls will be portraying Snipes’ character, whose name has reportedly been changed to Kamal. Teyana Taylor, Lance Reddick and Laura Harrier have als...

Brannon Braga (Cosmos, Star Trek: First Contact) is attached as director and will appear in cameo appearances alongside Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. Chris Evans revealed he is more than open to returning as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in Fantastic Four — and that it will be “an easier sell” to him than Captain America. Speaking to MTV News, the actor shared that he was never approached to do another film despite his eagerness to. “God, wouldn’t that be great?” he replied. “Wouldn’t that be great? No, no one’s ever come to me about that.” Evans stated the fact that it’s been more than 15 years since he first put on the suit and that John Krasinski recently took up the mantle, “I mean, I don’t exactly look the same anymore. That was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I’m old. But I really love that character, but I think… aren’t they doing something now with Fantastic Four?” Evans also acknowledged that there are still variants of Joh...

“Break My Soul,” the first track from Beyoncé‘s next album “Renaissance,” was released three hours early on TIDAL, her husband Jay-Z’s streaming service. It’s the jam the Beyhive has been waiting for: Tricky Stewart and The-Dream — the same team behind Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” — co-produced the dancehall and disco-inflected song. [embedded content][embedded content] Beyoncé revealed the album’s release date on Thursday. According to sources from Variety, the album will include “dance and country-leaning” songs, with contributions from star composer Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote her 2008 smash “Halo.” Raphael Saadiq, who has written songs for Mary J. Blige, D’Angelo, and Stevie Wonder, and produced Solange’s 2016 album, is also reportedly participating. So far, the dance part seems to be on th...
Beyoncé is set to reveal her new single, “Break My Soul,” at midnight ET on Tuesday (June 21st). It presumably serves as the first taste of Queen Bey’s seventh solo album, Renaissance, which is due out on July 29th. As she did in announcing Renaissance last week, Beyoncé clued fans in on the impending arrival of “Break My Soul” by simply updating her Instagram bio. It currently reads: “6.ㅤ ㅤ BREAK MY SOUL ㅤ midnight ET.” (One would assume that the No. 6 is the song’s position on the album’s tracklist.) Renaissance is Beyoncé’s seventh solo album to date and first since 2016’s earth-shattering Lemonade — which Consequence later name as the best album of the 2010s. In 2018, Beyoncé and JAY-Z released their collaborative album, Everything Is Love, which Queen Bey followed up in 2019 with The ...
